The Will Young forum actually manages quite a solid post count from what I can see - the thread at the bottom of page 1 is from May this year, that's not bad at all! I don't think it should be a priority even if it definitely doesn't help the site look "current". Darius should be priority imo, I can't believe we still have a Darius forum in 2017.

 

I don't understand why there's such a negative reaction to a Take That and Robbie merger tbh! It's quite a privilege for a member of a band to have an AF separate from the band themselves - artists like Cheryl never got a separate forum from Girls Aloud despite probably being able to maintain one when she was at her peak in 2009. All threads would simply be combined in a forum called "Take That & Robbie Williams" or something to that effect, and then you'd continue as normal! It just frees up another forum if a time comes when a big artist might require an AF.

I still maintain the Will Young stans are the worst on Buzzjack tbh.

All of the threads in the first page bar maybe 3 have single digit posts in them, it's not an accurate measure IMO

OMG *.* the claims that Olly can't sing and is a puppet even though Will started his career the same way, still giving y giggles.

I think four new AFs make quite a difference, I'm not opposed to further changes but wouldn't say any of it is urgent now. I was gonna say see how the rest of the year goes with the new/endangered AFs, especially with Miley just starting a new era but if they're already willing to replace hers then okay.

I'd be more inclined say it's a great image for the site to be catering to all tastes, all artists and all age groups. Inclusion.

 

Those of us that remember pop music when you bought a vinyl 45 in Woolworths for 33p still have as much to say as the download generation.

I agree but there is the retro forum, which we could really tap into more (Elvis and U2 could bring discussion for eample to that). TT and Robbie aren't really retro though :lol:

 

I didn't mean to come across as out with the older generation, sorry :lol: But it would be nice to have your demographic across the site too, so that the whole site is a bit more diverse not just the tucked away corner :P

I agree with Jordan to leave things as they are for now, to see whether the quartet of newbies actually bring in new posters. If we're isolating existing posters by removing their forums and then making new forums that don't bring anyone in it'll just make matters worse.

the Taylor forum especially seems to be attracting a fair few new posters (all Taylor stans though so whether that's a good thing I'm not sure ;o), so in that sense the right way to go in terms of AF's is to open forums that will attract the most new posters as opposed to the same 4 posters talking about nothing all the time

He'll be promoting it all over the media.

 

I thought this was a site celebrating entertainment.

 

So why the rush to jettison the only two males from any UK reality shows who are still relevant, have proved their worth in a broad spectrum of enitertainment and are still being critically acclaimed after 15 years?

because its about managing the site and only having forums that are generating discussion and having a substantial number of posts EACH WEEK so that the site is attracting visitors/new members/keeping members here which helps keep the forum alive and advertising can continue.

Locked out because I'd forgotten my password and couldn't get back in because I didn't get the e-mail perhaps due the site's lengthy problem with hotmail!

 

I got back in only on Thursday night.

 

I've caught up with Darius and posted in other threads too.

The fact that most of this site forgot Will even had a forum suggests he is long gone from relevance. And before talk of removing AF's came up, Darius had little to no traffic and that can't be blamed on not being able to log in.
