I think its because their streams are counted for the Billboard Hot 100, so they want they want to make them interesting enough to get people watching.

Yes but there shrinking down and falling off #1 in 2 days which it looks like she may do.

Honestly there shouldn't be as much discussion of the song's chart fortunes as there is, anyway. Given the nature of the song I think this single would always have been expected to start explosively and drop fairly quickly by her label. More commercial singles will come later, likely just before the album given its release date. This is doing exactly as well as it's needed to.

The video is coming tonight which may slow the free fall.

I think her fan base will have sent it to the top but it's not the kind of song that's going to bring in many new fans. Most of us aren't vindictive snakes trying to play the victim so it's difficult for casual music buyers to relate to the track. I expect it'll continue to stream really well though.

What is thr somg even about anyway - what is it that she did in the fist place - is it releasing a song that kinda hints at Kim Kanye and Katy? Or somethin else? Because releasing a song is hardly doin anything and she did it better before with BB. It is not relatable. Compare it to New Rules by Dua which IS relatablr and is a out real issues for her fans, partic. women.
