Posted August 28, 20177 yr Does anyone think the song Lightning from the Get Weird Album should have been given a video ? I mean I can't particualry imagine it would been played much on radio but a video for it would have been EPIC. Also supposedly Lightning was the part 2 to the song 'DNA' so I really think they should have made a moment out of this. August 28, 20177 yr Not as a single, but definitely a video, maybe as a promotional single. For me A.D.I.D.A.S. was a bigger loss as a single.
August 28, 20177 yr A.D.I.D.A.S. would've bombed as a single. I have a feeling that could've been a career hinderance to them. 'Lightning' is amaze. One of my absolute highlights from their career, but I can't call whether it would have worked as a single or not!
August 28, 20177 yr Great song, but works better as an album track, can't really see this as single material, I think the 'Get Weird' era did fine as it was, but yeah a music video to this would have been interesting though.
August 29, 20177 yr I agree it's not a single, but comes alive on tour. Similarly to Down & Dirty, it's a bop but feels a little too dated to have been a significant hit in today's market.
August 29, 20177 yr Absolutely not for me. Besides 'The End', it's probably my least favourite on the standard edition of Get Weird. I skip it completely now if it comes on shuffle. Honestly, their singles run for the GW era was perfect imo.
August 30, 20177 yr 'Lightning' is my favourite album track on 'Get Weird' *.* and I'm sure they would have created a KILLER video for it, but otherwise I think it didn't really need to be a single and just works as a solid album track. We may have been deprived of a music vid for it but at least the live performances of it are incredible.

April 5, 20187 yr Agree, while the song is amazing and is basically a lead-on from DNA, I don't think it would have worked as a single. As others have said, maybe a promotional single over in the US as well as BM
