I don't see the problem with PRETTYMUCH tbh. Like someone else said, it's no different to when XF had Fifth Harmony on that one time... beyond the huge fans, no one in the UK knew who they were. So of course Simon is gonna use the biggest possible opportunity to show people his latest act...

It is different. 5H might have been unknown in the UK, but they were several years into their US promotion and had a big hit under their belts. Prettymuch are virtually unknown in the US too. They’ve put out only one single. It flopped.

The bulk of the UK audience had no idea of who 5H were at that time though. Just like PRETTYMUCH. From what I've seen on twitter etc.. they have a solid fanbase. Yeah they've had a single and it bombed, but literally nobody knew who they were/they were in the middle of getting a fanbase.

I'm positive that the band won't be a success, but I don't see how Simon giving them a primetime slot to get their name out there, is a problem?

Has that actually been confirmed? I imagine they'll do a medley like last year when Charlie Puth joined them.

They tweeted it on their twitter page

Didn't they say they were performing 'Touch' until the Friday or something before, last year though? I can't remember exactly, but I remember fans being annoyed that they'd "switched 'Touch' for 'Oops'" when it was found out that Charlie was gonna be performing with them haha.
When was the last time X-Factor didn't have Little Mix as a guest?

Probably before they were formed in the first place. Honestly there's more chance of the sun not rising tomorrow than there is of having a Little Mix free X Factor , but of course Simon Cowell does what he wants when he wants thinking that everyone will be gassed so it was certain to happen.

Actually it was 2014! :P

After 'Salute' era they had scrapped the planned 3rd album, which was supposed to be ready for a 2014 Q4 release, but didn't start until Summer 2015 with 'Black Magic'!

They have of course been on twice in 2015 and twice in 2016 (normal live shows and then the final).

List of performances:

2012: DNA

2013: Move

2014: Didn't Perform

2015 (i): Love Me Like You/Black Magic (my fave guest performance of all time)

2015 (ii): Black Magic/Sax with Fleur East

2016 (i): Shout Out To My Ex (World Premiere of song and performance)

2016 (ii): Oops/Touch

2017: Reggaeton Lento

They are the most consistently successful winning act from the show and are more popular than ever, so it was obviously going to happen.

They only said they were performing with CNCO, none of the tweets have mentioned the song. So while they will obviously be singing Reggaeton Lento, we don’t know if that’s all they’ll be singing. Out of their past 4 X Factor performances, only one of them wasn’t a mashup or medley. They could very easily transition between Reggaeton Lento and any of the new tracks, especially Is Your Love Enough, which was also added to Hot Hits UK which makes it seem like it’s getting a push.

Nothing compared to Louis Tomlinson. This not just his 8th performance on X Factor but it’s his 8th CONSECUTIVE performance on the XF final including his One Direction performances.

And Rita... and Stormzy...

I really think everyone is underrating this years performers tbh. They're all big/the biggest names in the UK right now. Save for Dua (who I'm surprised hasn't been confirmed to perform tbh)

Really hoping Little Mix get the headline slot for the acts!

Stormzy and Rita Ora are all over TV. Especially Ora. They're big names (especially Stormzy. Rita I have my doubts considering how hard she has been pushed and marketed vis-a-vis what she has actually achieved) but there's nothing special about having them on for a performance. Not that they shouldn't be on. Of course they should. It's just not impressive.

And it's weird for me Dua Lipa and Rag n Bone Man weren't on because they're both obviously the two biggest British breakouts and usually those are featured in the show.

It's the same premise though, the US isn't really relevant here as 5H had barely taken off there when they performed BO$$. PRETTYMUCH have put out three singles so far and none of them have received any kind of support, so the fact Would You Mind is a top 100 hit (just about) isn't too bad tbh! Open Arms, if they perform that, actually sounds like a hit too, perfect for the time of year and on trend, but it will stand out in the chart at the same time.

I’ve heard PrettyMuch are a last minute replacement for another act who dropped out.
Its the x factor final of course they are going to showcase what sort of success a winner can have(which realisticly probably wont happen) and what better way than a performance from arguable the biggest most consistent winners little mix (yeah leona was massive at first but she nosedived by album 3)

I hope it wasn't Taylor

PRETTYMUCH do not deserve a finale performance, it’s actually embarrassing that it’s happening.

However their song Would You Mind is really great
