Omg, could New Rules go #1?

As long as Gary Numan stays at #2 I'd be quite happy, actually Gary Numan's album is not that bad the album has been getting great reviews, downloaded it over the weekend. Can't even remember the last time Gary Numan had a top 3 album, must have been quite awhile. I can see it dropping fast next week like O.M.D did... sadly.

In fairness though he is more or less guaranteed #2 with those Sales. That is a stellar result for Gary Numan given he last made the Albums Top 10 in September 1982, more than 35 years ago, wow!

Wow, as long as that :o I didn't even realise. His material can be a bit of a miss, but the latest is exceptional good.

Suspect the media will get on board at some point this week about this turnaround for Gary Numan, not quite on the same level as Rick Astley but media coverage could help the Album hold up better than some other Albums from Eighties Artists.
It will be on ACR next week though

Not quite! It was due to be on ACR this week but dodged it thanks to its decrease being smaller than that of the market last week :D

Anastacia not even top 40? Serves her right tbh for not releasing it physically here. This whole era is a MESS which is a shame because the music is great.

So it has to decrease for another 3 weeks?

Thank God for that re: Dua Lipa! 'New Rules' still feels far to fresh and huge right now to be hit by ACR.
I thought Madonna would have enough hardcore fans to buy the live album to start the week top 10. It could miss the top 20 now.
"Swish swish" going top20 on its 18th weeks on the charts? That'd be an achievement indeed!

Love that this has become a hit especially so long after it peaked at #40 and seemed to be over. We need 'Witness' as the next single from the album as I think that is just waiting to be a hit!

I'm pleased it's as high as it is at the moment tbh - her last live album in 2013 'The MDMA Tour' peaked at #55. Her live albums don't seem to perform that well (Shes had them chart at 7,17,18 and 55). If this can hold on to the Top 30 I'd be happy.

'Roulette' if anything!

Great London Grammar are doing so well in the charts. I had feared a quick decline in sales but they have been staying in the TOP30 for quite a while now.

I hope the forthcoming Wolf Alice album will do similarily well.

Totally agree, Roulette is the obvious choice but her label already chose Save as draft as the next single...

Yeah Save as Draft is dire.

Roulette would be a hit in the UK if she came and gave it promo/released a good video for it. It would probably pick her up more album sales than Swish Swish, too.

Yeah, Save As Draft is awful. Roulette is basically the only decent unreleased song on the album, they're crazy to go with anything else.
