Yass at the cats line, I heard it and thought, "well, that's Jade sold"

You know me too well :kink: seriously though, I'm impressed on first listen as I was hoping to be! It is like 'Blank Space' but with slightly more interesting production. I am not crazy about the main hook but most of the rest of the lyrics are fab. I would still prefer '...Ready For It?' as the second single but it's definitely a case of 3/3 strong songs.

I like it but don't love it, it feels like it'll be more of a grower compared to the other two songs that we've heard which I'm glad about.

Already #1 on US iTunes and #2 in the UK - I definitely think a top 2 debut officially is on the cards.

I'm just so glad she isn't all angsty all the way through!
Not bad! In some places I prefer it to weaker parts of RFI and LWYMMD and in other places I don't.

is it just me who finds the baby voice at the start SO ANNOYING?! it makes me cringe when the song starts :')

apart from that i love this x

I've listened to it a handful of times and the only thing that gripes on me is the production during the chorus could've been beefed up a little and made the chorus stand out more/make it have more of an impact. I feel like the chorus lends itself well to being belted out!
I like the concept of the song and the overall sound is decent but the lyrics are pretty cringe :( This has a post-album single 'sound' to it imo - I do think it'll be a grower like the majority of you guys have said and it's radio friendly so maybe it will stick around as people are over feisty Taylor.
So this didn't receive a radio deal in the US which would be very surprising for her second single. I wonder if this is just another promo single and the second single is coming 3/11 maybe? It's not unusual for her to release 4 songs before the album
After a proper listenthrough, it's not bad but it just feels... lacking. It's like they tried to combine Blank Space with Versace On The Floor (and I LOVE those two songs!) and those two are like water and oil so the resulting output was not gonna be pretty.
This is #13 (Taylor's lucky number omgggg) on the Hot 100 and #1 on Digital Songs with 68,000 copies sold - tying Rihanna for the most #1s there with 14 each, although Taylor holds the record for most songs to debut at #1, with 13/14 debuting at the top! :o
