Ok NOW it gets super exciting and interesting....

It's 'Papa Don't Preach' and 'Open Your Heart' for definite, but I don't know which out of 'Live to Tell' and 'La Isla Bonita' to give my final vote to!

 

A part of me would love to give 'True Blue' a vote too!

My absolute FAVOURITE Madonna album but the singles really are the highlights so I voted for True Blue, La Isla Bonita and Open Your Heart (probably all in my top 5 or 6 of hers :wub:).

 

Papa Don't Preach is right up there too but I just didn't have enough votes :(

I rate the True Blue singles higher than the Like a Virgin singles, but I much prefer the album tracks from the latter. In a way, that makes it hard to say which I prefer, but I think True Blue has that edge due to how high those highs are.

 

I'm coming to the end of my True Blue listen - how good are those extended mixes of 'True Blue' and 'La Isla Bonita'? *.*

I've been fairly boring and voted for 'Open Your Heart', 'Papa Don't Preach' and 'La Isla Bonita' - they are all totally sublime.

 

I LOVE this album though including the album tracks! Such a euphoric listen :wub:

Yay for the Where's the Party? vote - one of my big favourite album tracks :wub:

Great to see 'Open Your Heart' in the lead - that intro is a classic and instantly throws you into the feel-good joyous mood of the song. Should have followed up 'Papa Don't Preach' like originally planned and have 'True Blue' as the Christmas single.

True Blue was the album that got me into Madonna it's always been one of my favourites :wub:

For me, this is her best album by far. I adore every song, and think they all - except for maybe Jimmy Jimmy- were single worthy.

The only thing that disappointed me, was that there was only 9 tracks. I know it's the same amount as Like A Virgin, and one up from the first album, but 1986 was the year that I started buying albums, and had come to expect them to have 10 tracks.

The tracks on True Blue are so good, that I just wanted more.
