Also All About She - Higher (Free) always reminds me of the Christmas period in 2013.

 

I Loved You was one too as you said for 2014 but also Go All Night too I would say.

 

Even back in the 00s, 'Listen to Your Heart', 'Out Of Touch', 'You're A Superstar' and 'Boogie 2Nite' all coincided with the festive party seasons.

 

Pity we won't have a big festive period dance anthem in the charts this year probably. We didn't really have one last year, the closest there was I think was 'You Want Me' by Tom Zanetti and Sadie Ama.

I wouldn't really consider Rockabye a 'dance anthem' though like the other December released or December charting dance songs that have been mentioned! Its very poppy I think, although I suppose it is still technically dance.

"Rockabye" is about as 'dance' as Calvin Harris's efforts this year.

 

Predominantly dance artists in the past who are dabbling with other genres.

Yeah it will probably be this years one, although it is not a new one for the Christmas festive party season though like the other ones I mentioned in previous years like 'Under Control' but of course that and most of the others I mentioned were under held back releases back then, so they weren't new when they first charted in December anyway, having had weeks of airplay.

 

On the subject of MK - 17, personally I feel it needs something more to the instrumentation that comes in occasionally, like the piano house isn't quite interesting enough. Mind you, its still a good track imo.
