Stop teasing uuuuuuuss Samuel!!!

Wannabe's UK anniversary is in 2 days, would be a great time to start off this new era of Spice Girls 🤞

Not saying you'll get dates but you might get a surprise 🙏

Six week lockdown for Melbourne due to second spike. I don't think September announcement would be possible.

Yes. And one shire north of Melbourne.

(I'm not in the state of Victoria.) All of the other states and territories have closed their borders with Victoria. (Where Melbourne is.)

If there was a tour announcement in future, and crowds had to be capped at 70 per cent, would that necessarily mean a 30 per cent increase in ticket prices to cover tour expenses?

The proposed plan from an alliance of tour promoters to the Federal Government, for a few American bands that are scheduled to tour Australia in February:

# Essential band/group members only, and two support staff only, being tested for COVID-19 before leaving their country of residence and again on arrival in Australia.

# 14 days quarantine at a compound with a rehearsal studio.

# Hiring Australian tour staff and crew to replace a band's or group's usual tour team.

# Fans must download the government's COVID-Safe app to attend the show/concert.

(The app uses Bluetooth to track if anyone you have been in the same location as, has Coronavirus.)

# Crowds to be capped at 70 per cent of total capacity and social distancing measures to be in place.

Could a tour announcement and tour in the same year be possible? (February/March/April onwards)

I'm a bit confused - do you know something we don't?

Hasn't Wannabe's anniversary passed now? What was supposed to happen?

No surprise, Victoria will not be involved with the apparent tour.

She was paid more money with a share of earnings from last year's tour, than she earnt from her business.

As long as she's happy though.

I had wondered if she could design outfits for the others.

Also, if there is to be a tour, have a travelling exhibition of the Spice Girls used clothes and other memorabilia.

Show them on display in some museums where they tour the same countries.

There was a Designing 007: Fifty years of Bond style exhibition during November 2013 to February 2014 at the Melbourne Museum.

Are they still doing that animated movie (as super heros)? Or is their proposed movie or video project about four of them touring around the world on a bus or coach?

I've read a few articles, one saying Emma earned £1 million the last year, another saying they made just under a million each from the £4.5 million that they made from merchandising/licensing. So what about the money earned from ticket sales, I haven't read anything about this, has anyone seen anything?

Emma confirmed that all FIVE met up last week for a socially distanced walk last week.

Also, it’s been confirmed that a new documentary has been commissioned by Channel 4 for next week to coincide with their 25th anniversary

Yes :w00t: Such exciting news!

Full press release:

Channel 4 has commissioned Girl Powered:The Spice Girls (w/t), a documentary series from 72 Films.

Using hundreds of hours of archive footage and revealing interviews, the series tells the complete story of the best-selling girl band of all time.

Starting from the group’s formation in the mid ‘90s amidst the backdrop of ‘ladette culture’, right through to the recent world tour during the time of the #metoo movement, this series examines how modern feminism has evolved through the life story and events that have surrounded the five members of the group.

Alisa Pomeroy, Channel 4 Commissioning Editor Documentaries said: “The idea of using the story of the supremely popular and mould-breaking Spice Girls to make a multi-layered social history series was too good to pass up. The Spice Girls mirrored and influenced a generation of women and now, nearly 30 years since their formation, their story sheds light on the coming of age of modern feminism in ways we can fully appreciate for the first time.”

The series will be made by the directing team behind the multi award winning Jade: The Reality Star Who Changed Britain, Rob Coldstream and Clare Cameron.

Clare Cameron, Series Editor 72 Films added: “Little did I know when I saw them perform live in Sheffield as a teenager, that I’d have the opportunity to make a series about one of the most iconic pop groups of our time and their impact on young women all over the world. Following the incredible stories of the band members is an exciting way of exploring the changing story of feminism over the last 25 years."

Girl Powered:The Spice Girls (w/t) was commissioned for Channel 4 by Alisa Pomeroy, Commissioning Editor, Documentaries. For 72 Films, Rob Coldstream will be the Executive Producer, and Clare Cameron Series Editor.

All five meeting up and documentary coming. Been a busy spice newa day today.

Really looking forward to that documentary!

Kind of crazy to think that all 5 Spice Girls could meet up together for a walk in secret. :drama: Wish they’d shared a picture! I guess they don’t want to take hype away from whenever they want us to see them as a 5 piece again.

I wonder if the new documentary will be distributed and broadcast overseas next year?

In the woods, you can get away from the media, papparazzi and be private. You would have to be a fox with ears perked up to hear what they were 'chin wagging' (talking) about.

‘Why does the countryside have to be so bloody, muddy”.

Imagine just going for a walk with the girls. I love the fact the 25 years later I just get that excitement and buzz whenever I know they’ve been together.

Nice to know we’re getting something next year with the documentary. I wonder if the girls or label have any link to it. I’m sure they’ll be interviewed for it, in the same way they were for GYE and Viva Forever: The Spice Girls Story

Love the fact they met up for a walk in the woods eheh I wish they had shared a picture but I guess they didnt want to as they didnt have anything to announce yet ah! It's all about marketing for these girls. But glad they are still friends and meeting up - the whole 5 of them.

The documentary is a cute idea. Any news when it will be aired? It seems to hint at a 25th anniversary but that would be next year, no?

So can you imagine that you are walking in the park and you find the 5 Spice Girls there? I think I’ll be in shock for rest of my life LOL. Would love to see how were dressing to avoid be recognised by anyone in that walk!

Can’t wait for the tour :) 2019 was brilliant so hope 2021 continues like this, let’s see if they tour Europe it would be amazing, and hope they do meet & greets!

My only concern with them actually is about new music, I think they are missing a good chance there to make the band bigger with more hits! I think the legacy thing may come for Mel C, Vic and probably Geri but for me is a mistake because being honest they haven’t put any effort as a band since Goodbye with new music. I still can’t believe that with the GH the present the project with Headlines and how on earth they include Voodoo (one of the WORST songs ever not only in their discography), so I understand they don’t want chart bad but if the music they release is crap, what they are expecting? They should release something but work with the best ones like Ed Sheeran or someone in that level. I totally see them doing songs like Black Magic or this pop with more 90s feeling. They sold out 13 stadiums, Ticketmaster was collapsed when tickets went online, people paid around 100 pounds to see them, of course they can keep selling records but musics needs to be good.
