December 20, 20177 yr Attention is such a banger, way too low :( I was so shocked at how much I loved it!! Oh and this too, I agree. That said I dunno where I'd be ranking it. Surely in the top 100 or even 50 though, there isn't a MASSIVE amount of competition exactly.
December 20, 20177 yr Author So Good really killed any momentum Zara had in my charts. I didn't really enjoy the album either so she hasn't been able to recover. Chasing Highs is comfortably my least favourite song of the year. Everything about it irritates me. Finders Keepers is a great track. It took quite a few listens for me to get into it but it was worth it. Everyday was such a waste of a single. Although I do absolutely love it, it was never going to do anything in the charts. Wolves  I think this might be my favourite Selena song of the year. I hadn't really liked anything else I've heard from Marshmello before so this really exceeded my expectations.Shocked at you hating Chasing Highs so much! I've always found it really catchy and I think ALMA is a really cool artist too, I hope "Phases" hasn't destroyed her hype completely. I'm quite glad she went with Everyday over Greedy tbh, I've always found the latter a little overrated but then I always do seem to prefer her more urban tracks to her proper pop hits. Give me another Love Me Harder/Side to Side any day over Into You/One Last Time etc. :o Thank you for commenting Lewis!! "Chantaje" = far far far far too low! That's all I have to say. :P It's such a good track, I'm still really gutted that most people in the UK never really got to hear it. Could've been the first big smash for Shakira in years  Thanks Lenny!! Attention is such a banger, way too low :( I was so shocked at how much I loved it!! How Long is still to come! I seem to just prefer that really but Attention is indeed a banger. I liked his sound from the first era too though so I always had high hopes for his return. Thanks for commenting Liam!! Oh and this too, I agree. That said I dunno where I'd be ranking it. Surely I the top 100 or even 50 though, there isn't a MASSIVE amount of competition exactly. How Long is still to come at least!! WDTA had been his biggest hit on my chart before but I think HL might be his best song yet for me. Very excited for the album based on the two pre-album singles we have heard so far  Thank you for commenting very much Lenny!! :D
December 20, 20177 yr Author 101. Post Malone feat. 21 Savage - Rockstar / / (12-10-9-11-10-8-15-20-32-50-x) 10 weeks 102. Bastille - Blame / / (9-6-12-19-27-42-48-x) 7 weeks 103. The xx - Say Something Loving / / (10-10-11-11-20-21-28-40-x) 8 weeks 104. Sigala feat. Ella Eyre - Came Here for Love / / (26-20-18-17-22-30-43-xx-42-x) 8 weeks 105. Zayn & Taylor Swift - I Don't Wanna Live Forever / / (8-8-12-11-17-26-39-40-45-49-47-x) 11 weeks Rockstar is definitely the biggest hit on my personal chart to appear here in terms of weeks near the top of the chart but it is starting to get a little old already. It's not overplayed enough that I despise listening to it anymore like Despacito but I am a little worried that I'm going off it quickly now. I saw Bastille live at the O2 Arena late last year and Blame was a big highlight of the setlist so I was really pleased when it was picked as a single, it's not as good as "Good Grief" but definitely one of the best on the album. Whilst most people highlight "On Hold" or something else as their favourite from I See You, Say Something Loving would definitely be my pick, gorgeous is the only word to describe it really  I'm not sure why the chart run for Came Here for Love isn't much better but I just never had a week where I absolutely loved it so its peak looks pretty low. It never got old though and I still love listening to it now to put me in a good mood so it deserves to be up this high with the higher peakers. I Don't Wanna Live Forever seemed to be pretty marmite here on Buzzjack but I'm in the big fan camp on this one, it's hardly the best track from either artist but I like how sensual it sounds and it really works for a movie like Fifty Shades. I seem to remember forgetting to chart this for a little while because it wasn't on Spotify so it probably deserves a slightly higher peak on my personal chart, oops.
December 20, 20177 yr Came Here For Love was a great comeback for Sigala, I mean I do much prefer his previous 3 Top 10 singles but I still quite like it! Say Something Loving was a nice track as well, great to see it crack the UK Top 100 too!
December 21, 20177 yr Rockstar is such a great tune. I'm still not sold on Post Malone being the next big urban star. Although the song is great I think 21 Savage outshines him.
December 22, 20177 yr some great stuff popping up here, Finders Keepers, Chasing Highs, Guilty, Everything Now, Came Here For Love, I Miss you to list some!
December 22, 20177 yr Author Came Here For Love was a great comeback for Sigala, I mean I do much prefer his previous 3 Top 10 singles but I still quite like it! Say Something Loving was a nice track as well, great to see it crack the UK Top 100 too! Easy Love definitely remains his best for me. Say You Do was fabulous too so I think I'd rank this third of his big hit singles. Hope he comes back with another Summer smash next year :heehee:  Thank you very much for commenting, Pete <3 Rockstar is such a great tune. I'm still not sold on Post Malone being the next big urban star. Although the song is great I think 21 Savage outshines him. I agree that 21 Savage probably has the catchiest part actually. I'm sold on Post Malone after the holy trinity of this, I Fall Apart and Congratulations though  Thank you for commenting Lewis!!! :D All 5 of them tbh especially Say Something Loving and Came Here For Love  Glad you like! Thanks for commenting Harry
December 22, 20177 yr Author 96. Two Door Cinema Club - Lavender / / (9-7-7-8-9-16-17-27-33-37-44-x) 11 weeks 97. Nothing But Thieves - Amsterdam / / (20-14-12-18-21-32-37-43-48-x) 9 weeks 98. Moose Blood - Cheek / / (33-16-5-8-16-21-30-36-46-x) 9 weeks 99. Milky Chance - Cocoon / / (35-14-14-20-29-37-x) 6 weeks 100. Ray BLK - Doing Me / / (38-12-5-7-18-24-x) 6 weeks Two Door Cinema Club had a really good run last year with their album so it was no surprise that Lavender was also a big hit for me in my weekly charts after it was announced as a single because it was always one of my favourites from the album. It had a really healthy chart run but I don't go back to it very often at all now hence the kind of low placing here. I wasn't sure what to think of Amsterdam at first and I remember posting saying that it was my least favourite single of theirs to date, it ended up growing massively on me and was stuck in my head all the time, the chart run for it here really does not do it justice. I had never even heard of Moose Blood at the start of the year but I heard Cheek though Radio 1 and it just kept on growing on me until it became a top 10 hit, I hadn't heard anything from them until recently but I'm enjoying their new single a fair bit too. Milky Chance are obviously most well-known for 'Stolen Dance' but I think that Cocoon could well be my favourite of theirs yet. I'm not sure why the chart run was so short for it in hindsight but it's super catchy and I enjoy listening to it when I remember it actually exists. Doing Me also has a ridiculously short chart run for a top 10 hit but it was a super busy time in my chart back then so it's not really fair. The most promising track from Ray BLK yet in my opinion so I'm excited to hear more.
December 23, 20177 yr "Rockstar": The most surprising song from both Post Malone and 21 Savage. "Blame": The best song from "Wild World", I really like this! "Say Something Loving": Like this song, but one of my favourites from their album, but still really good! "Came Here for Love": Great dance song for the summer! "I Don't Wanna Live Forever": Sorry, but I don't like this song and the chemistry from ZAYN & Taylor Swift is terrible, also "Fifth Shades Darker": need I say more? "Amsterdam": Great song, love what this band is doing now! "Cocoon": A much better song for me than their earlier work!
December 23, 20177 yr Really like Cocoon, I was so surprised they still managed to make good stuff after Stolen Dance
December 23, 20177 yr Yay for Back to You appearing, too low though!!! Sadly I wasn't too fussed with I Don't Wanna Live Forever :( Zayn is capable of better and it's probably my least favourite Taylor single ever. Shame, cause Taylor actually sounds great on it, but Zayn's falsetto is quite painful for me oop
December 24, 20177 yr Amsterdam yasss  I like all the others from that section but not love them like Amsterdam!
December 24, 20177 yr 2 amazing tracks just missing your top 100 there in Rockstar & Came Here For Love, I'm glad the latter was a big hit for Sigala cos he was otherwise showing signs of struggling ever since his singles were being released OA/OS!
December 24, 20177 yr Love Cocoon! Was #1 on my Personal Chart last year, I hadn't paid much attention to Milky Chance since Stolen Dance but as soon as I heard it on the radio I was instantly glued and wanted to know what it was! Shame they can't have any UK success anymore

January 4, 20187 yr Well then... :P Nice to see so much Declan in here, and HAIM going Top 3 is great to see as well! Ultralife just scraping in as well, loved that when it was in BJSC, such a cheery and uplifting track. Just for One Night was quite the grower after being initially disappointed with it (I think you mentioned you felt the same way?) Great chart :D
January 5, 20187 yr Author Well then... :P Nice to see so much Declan in here, and HAIM going Top 3 is great to see as well! Ultralife just scraping in as well, loved that when it was in BJSC, such a cheery and uplifting track. Just for One Night was quite the grower after being initially disappointed with it (I think you mentioned you felt the same way?) Great chart :D Yep, three entries for Declan is not too bad at all!! Very excited to see what he does next, I hope we don't have to wait too long. I wasn't huge on Just For One Night at first, you're right! It ended up being a real ear worm though - I wish it had taken off and been a UK chart hit :( Thanks Pete for commenting!
January 9, 20187 yr Touch is a superb #1!!! Shame it's over so soon but that's a brilliant list Josh, other highlights coming from Declan, Taylor, Dua, Rita, and Anne-Marie among others :D
