You've all had the chance to hate, and we got 35 voters dishing out a combined 4239 hate points! Which song has the most hate points this year though, there's only one way to find out and that's to follow this thread where we will be revealing the 45 most hated songs of the year. I will be joined once again by UltraReputation to help with the commentaries.

Some fun facts before we get going:

• last year's winner Calum Scott did not receive a single nomination this year, probably due to his follow up single charting at a disappointing #90 and being forgotten by everyone.

• the most nominations were given to Chris & Kem's 'Little Bit Leave It' this year, with nine nominations. Whether this will translate into a "victory" for them is yet to be seen.

• you really didn't like Ed Sheeran this year! with five songs in the shortlist he has the most entries of everyone here.

• other artists with multiple entries are Imagine Dragons, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Lil Uzi Vert, Machine Gun Kelly, Maroon 5, Migos, Quavo, Rag'n'Bone Man and Taylor Swift. Katy has three and the others have two (though Quavo has four when you include his contributions to Migos).

The shortlist is below, in alphabetical order.

XO Tour Llif3 for #1 :D

This isn't the Record Of The Year thread though!

Well y’all don’t think Rockstar or iSpy are the worst songs of the year so I’m prepared to disagree on these results completely

seems like there's no easy hate target this year like Calum Scott so i'm guessing the winner will be a good song this time :( (XO Tour Llif3, Bad and Boujee, Shape Of You, Too Good at Goodbyes etc.)

can we just cancel these results and give the win to Stefflon Don's new one?

Let's all remember here that we were voting on standard over sentiment hence artists for grenfell is unquestionably the worst 'song' of the year by far.
I am probably the only person here who doesn’t really care for Stefflon Don. She was great in Instruction but didn’t really stand out, and Hurtin’ Me burned off me too easily.

#46. Stefflon Don feat. Skepta - Ding-A-Ling (0 points)

As you're all asking for it. An honorary mention for this single which will probably be looked back upon as either the biggest career killer of all time or the most surprising non-career killing song of all time.

If y'all still hate this in a year's time don't forget to nominate it for HATECHART 2018.

It's so bizarre that she was starting to take off with 'Hurtin' Me' and then capitalised on the momentum with... THAT. What an extremely jarring sample :(
If it wasn't for the sample, I'd be all over this... there's no getting round it.

This is a joke right? 'iSpy' in particular got a ton of votes.
