Aretha, Madonna, The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney (to name a few) are without a doubt. I understand she has die hard fans but saying she is a legend over and over again does not make her one. A legend should eclipse all generations - i doubt my mother (aged 56) could name any song Beyonce has done post 2009. Back to the thread - I hope a new number one happens....I'm getting a little bit sick of Havana. I’m sorry, but you have to be ridiculously delusional to believe she isn’t a legend at this point.

December 4, 20178 yr Well X factor got the lowest ever ratings for final last night. We’ll see if it manages to achieve a winning no1 single this year. Lack of competition and low sales might help it to reach no1 for a week or so but unlikely to stay there for long!

I mean I agree with you that jumping onto Perfect was a bit of a desperate move but even legends can make those lol - lets not forget Sir Paul McCartney's attempt at staying relevant in 2015 with Rihanna and Kanye. Whether you like her or not there's no denying that Beyoncé is a legend of our time. She's a huge star who has stayed relevant since the late 90s and just her name in itself is a huge brand so saying she's not a legend is really just ridiculous. She has huge influence and will stay relevant for a long time for sure. Sidenote: I can't name more than a handful of Rolling Stones songs and the only Aretha Franklin song I can think of off the top of my head is Respect but that doesn't mean they're not legends. It's certainly not based on what songs your mom does or doesn't know. :lol:

December 4, 20178 yr I expect Sam Smith will be this week's #1 album, U2 don't have that big of a lead and Sam just had X-Factor promo. So annoying that this would've been the week where Rita finally would've got to #1 though I suppose it's just tough luck and she would've made it on very low sales. Ed Sheeran is unbeatable for the next few weeks I reckon.
