Sauced Up is the clear album highlight and should have been the lead.

A mess.

Saying that, Down hung around outside the top 40 for a while and did well on streaming with literally 0 support. I wonder why Radio 1 and Capital wouldn't support after the last era managed 3 hits.

tbf it was on Hot Hits for over a month so it would obviously be top 75 on streaming, like every track on Hot Hits

This album is their 'Salute', a really listenable album but not single material. They will flop and fade away, it's a shame how bad things have been manage with this album, I think that there were a few options to keep them growing and with decent hits.

Anyway ... READY FOR LAUREN's SOLO ALBUM HERE!!

I don't understand why they keep pushing the band so hard after Camilla's leaving but they haven't recorded strong songs and singles.. And not having now a new single out for the release of the album ...
It's all very bland isn't it, such a come down from the amazing 7/27 :(

On first listen:

10 Down

06 He Like That

10 Sauced Up

08 Make You Mad

04 Deliver

06 Lonely Night

03 Don't Say You Love Me

07 Angel

05 Messy

04 Bridges

Such a big comedown from 7/27 :( Sauced Up and Make You Mad are the only new songs that particularly stand out to me, I actually love 'Down' tbh though, it's basic af but so irresistible *.*

Ok so i'm REALLY enjoying this album on first listen probably there best album for me IMO ! I love how mature the whole thing is and the vibe they have gone for. My initial favourites are :

'Sauced Up'

'Deliver' (LOVE this one such an old school Rnb vibe)

Don't Say You Love Me

He Like That

Make Me Mad

I enjoyed listening to this but none of the tracks really stood out. Angel is my favourite at the moment. I'll still give it another go.
So far enjoying this album a lot actually. Sauced Up, Make You Mad and Deliver are strongest to me. Make You Mad is clearly the I Lied of the album.

First listen rate:

-01.0 Down

06.0 He's Like That

08.0 Sauced Up

06.5 Make You Mad

07.5 Deliver

05.0 Lonely Night

08.0 Don't Say You Love Me

07.0 Angel

06.0 Messy

07.0 Bridges

I was expecting this to be an absolute mess from the awful single choices and the clear 0.50p budget they spent on the promo and the cover combined, but it isn't actually that bad. It still does sound a bit thrown together at last minute and cheap, but it is actually an alright listen. It does lack character and personality but most of the tracks are pretty catchy and listenable for sure.

They really done this era wrong singles wise. They should have led with 'Sauced Up' and had 'Deliver' and 'Don't Say You Love Me' as follow ups. None of them would have been as big as 7/27 singles granted, but I feel like they would have done better than 'Down' and 'Angel' by a mile.

Overall, I would give the album a 6/10. Not bad considering I was expecting 3/10 and they have never really been an album artist anyway.
