By that logic I believe Geri Halliwell holds the record with Spice Girls #1s included

And any of the more successful Westlife lot would then have a LOT more!

5 Lil Dicky feat. Chris Brown - Freaky Friday (19.1k)

Who is BUYING THIS???  It would be one of the worst/ most embarrassing #1s ever.

How can they POSSIBLY connect to a song with lyrics like, such as, help, help, I'm stuck in Chris Brown's body?? It reminds me of this PARODY SONG at the 1:47 mark

With 1 day of sales left.. Can George Ezra overtake These Days???

Very very very unlikely. He'd have to have a mammoth booth from The One Show which won't happen

Jess Glynee doesn't deserve Cheryl's record!!
She already has the record, tied with Cheryl (as a solo artist), this week she's beating it.

Exactly Geri still record holder

What's the difference between Jess Glynne getting number 1 by feature and Cheryl and Geri with their bands they are features in the group's

Glad that Jess is getting that record. As if Clean Bandit and Route 94 were big names at that time when she had her #1s with them

The difference is Jess Glynne being credited as a solo artist, which is what the record is.

Jess Glynne has her own name on the credit. The 7 #1s Geri had as part of the Spice Girls was as part of a group, they do not go towards her tally as a solo artist.

If we're counting features in groups anyway Melanie C and Geri are tied (the last two #1s the Spice Girls had were when Geri left)

Mel C: 9 (with Spice Girls) + 2 (as solo artist) = 11

Geri: 7 (with Spice Girls) + 4 (as solo artist) = 11

we're talking about female with most solo #1s, doesn't make any sense to add her previous #1s as part of a band (non-solo)

but personally I'd still distinguish between #1s as lead vs #1s including leads and features, not the same in my opinion,

Cheryl has five #1s as lead, Jess has just two, in the rest of them she'øs featured

Cheryl still has the record for most solo #1s as lead artist for a British solo female.

Jess Glynne will now have the record for most solo #1s as lead or featured artist for a British solo female.

They're both record holders now everyone is happy.

Cheryl deserves BOTH records though

I didn't realise that George Ezra was on the one show tonight :o

I'm guessing if he manages to have a 50% lead on iTunes then there's a small chance that he could overcome 'These Days', I'm hoping there's a huge boost to provide more excitement to the chart battle though! 'Paradise' could still be number one next week though.

Four of Cheryl's five #1s are 10/10 as a minimum and I'm not even sorry

But Crazy Stupid Love is seriously dreadful.

Promise This and I Don't Care are duds, but the other three are golden.
