The ‘Girl’ release via Cherry Red is likely to be expensive like the Kylie ones they done so I ‘think’ it’ll very much be a fan focused release - would love to be wrong though and it re-peaks!

At least Dannii should aim for a top 30 for Girl. If only they could go to the vaults of 1995-Girl and add some unheard Dannii tracks of those eras. Would sweeten the deal!

Doubt there's much more left in the vaults after the 2007 Girl Deluxe and the 1995 sessions.

Yes it’s basically been confirmed that the vaults are empty - Cherry Red I’m sure will be digging up old press shots and TV appearances in high quality though hopefully.

I really can’t see Girl coming close to Top 30 considering Neon Nights got to #89 and #55 with reissues.
Well in Oz it can do it

It didn’t make the main ARIA charts with the recent vinyl release though? (I think it went to #5 on the vinyl chart).

Cherry Red who are re-issuing ‘Girl’ will do so with boxsets and high price tags (for example the Kylie boxsets were £65 for the vinyl and £25 for the CD) so not something that appeals to casual fans.

Oh bummer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a shame as if she did what Neon Nights did it could have re-peaked. But yeah , it seems there is nothing new to offer but just on vinyl.
I’m intrigued now - surely the Melanie C masterpieces shift more than 12 per week :kink:

Heads off to stream all Melanie C's albums….

Corrected that for you B-)

Ain’t nobody streaming ‘Stages’ :kink:

As expected hammered by streaming as sales all round were good!

Pleased it’s back in the Top 75 and adds an 8th week to its Top 75 tally.

Main Charts #55

Downloads #12

Physical #13

Sales #13

Vinyl #18

Interesting that 'Neon Nights' achieved #5 on the vinyl chart in 2018. I guess a picture disc is less appealing, especially if fans already have the 15th anniversary vinyl.

'Neon Nights' is also #1 on the dance album chart! :cheer:

All the new remixes are decent; the more I listen to it, the more I appreciate Initial Talk's garage remix of 'Don't Wanna Lose This Feeling' and I find AMYL's remix of 'Blame It On the Music' really catchy. 'Viva L'Amour' is a song I've seen referred to by fans a lot over the years, nice hearing Dannii on something with a slight rock edge to it (doesn't really fit in with the sound or the era but I guess it's a nice bonus given it is such a fan favourite).

^ i know a few people were put off from buying the picture disc because of the trackslist! Bootlegs used instead of single versions.

I hope so. No damn picture disc this time though. Peach or white vinyl.

The vast majority of anniversary releases are "one week and out" affairs, even those that chart in the Top 10, let alone #55 - so this is a very expected outcome. It takes approaching 1,100 sales to make the Top 200 these days. I would be surprised if Neon Nights even managed 200 sales in week 2.
I guess it did its job for a 20 year old album. Now Fanny needs to push hard on Girl and Club Disco!
