Your Disco Needs You - Kylie's ultimate camp classic, I know many, many fans wanted this as a single (including me), if downloads were included at the time I wonder if this could have charted,
and maybe urge the label to give this a proper release, or at least have it as single #5 in early '01 to tide us over for what's to come....

Anyway I just love this and how Kylie takes her vocals to it's pure absolution and even goes full on operatic that climaxes to full on epicness, all of which gives this its deserving title of GAY ANTHEM, I mean come on this just pops at every live performance. At least it got a music video and some sort of release in some lucky countries.

Get Outta My Way has to go next, it's a good song but doesnt deserve to be this high...

Your Disco Needs You is as remembered as much as many of her singles from her fanbase.
Not too many artists to my knowledge have an album track known as widely as some singles.

I'll work towards getting the rest of the results done. Thanks for your patience, I just like to have heartfelt commentaries which sometimes takes more time than I expect! The next result will hopefully be up tomorrow!

08. Get Outta My Way // 8.8 (5: Feel the Fever, pippa, 7: blacksquare, Jade // 10: Red Blooded Man, gooddelta, Regina, Liam, Qween, davidas, Stuart25, Nick Jonas, Tawdry Hepburn, Jay, liamk97)

The most recently released of the songs in this Top 10, 'Get Outta My Way' was announced as the second single from Aphrodite as soon as the album was released - a decision no doubt settled by the vast amount of adoration it received from fans and critics alike. It's classic Kylie material, fusing disco and pop over a heartbeat rhythm, but it's all the better for it. The adrenaline pumps throughout the verses before unleashing its fierce chorus where Kylie makes it clear to her uncaring lover exactly what will happen if he doesn't treat her right. This feistiness brings a new dynamic to the Kylie formula but is done with a cheeky wink of the eye. Despite becoming Kylie's first physically released single to miss the UK Top 10 in over a decade, the airplay 'Get Outta My Way' continues to receive in gay clubs more than makes up for its lack of initial chart success.

Been wondering what happened to these, so welcome back...

Get Outta My Way - Great Kylie track and perfect follow up choice and really deserved so much more success, although these days I would kill for Kylie to get a song this high in the charts again. It definitely has more love now and really goes off in a club setting with its hard edged in your face club/dance sound, a well deserved fan fave, but do feel its a bit high on here and to be honest not really keen on the music video, it seems like such a comedown after the epic video 'ATL' received, but still a great track.

I predict 'In Your Eyes' or 'The One' may drop next...
What was the rollout like for 'Get Outta My Way'? I'm surprised it wasn't a bigger hit, even with the mediocre video.

Top 100 chart run was: 86-57-48-12-31-50-60-89

Could have been a lot worse had it not been for its physical release as it was only #26 on downloads the week it officially peaked at #12. Not sure what exactly caused it to underperform so much. Things were going so well with the album and the success of 'All the Lovers' and I recall it being a bit of a shock when this performed the way it did.

Got to say I love the video though. I love the colours and the projections and Kylie's style is on point. Never really understood what was so underwhelming about it, even in comparison to 'All the Lovers'.

I like the song but still find it just above average, it’s no “on a night like this” or “in your eyes”

I firmly believe the thing that hindered it was the fact physical CD singles were starting to be phased out at that point in 2010, and Kylie really relied on those to get her post-album top 10 hits.

07. What Do I Have to Do? // 8.85 (6: Nick F1, Jade, 6.5: Liam, Theo // 11: Feel the Fever, 10: SamJudd, Red Blooded Man, Monzo, gooddelta, davidas, Stuart25, Tawdry Hepburn, pippa, Michael Andrew, Hide&Seek)

Kylie's exploration of dance music with Rhythm of Love saw her give the sounds of the club a pop makeover, especially notable in 'What Do I Have to Do' and its eurodance influence. The piano line and ascending rushes of synth inspire an irresistible energy that draws you to the dancefloor. It's said to be Kylie's favourite song to perform and it's easy to see why! Accompanying the song was a glamorous video that sees Kylie pose as Hollywood superstars and stars a blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo from sister Dannii.

I thought this would be easily top 5, if not even top 3, one of her best songs and videos in my opinion
