Solid day today. Continuing to show progress under Ole even when looking back at games under Ole! Compare today to PSG less than 2 weeks ago and it's a world of difference. 3 subs before half time, a 4th player who should have been limping down the tunnel way before half time and unlike against PSG our heads didn't go down. We came out fighting in the second half still. We adapted on the fly to three forced subs. We couldn't adapt and were punished for it against PSG. Regardless of what happens for the rest of this season, for me the audition is over. Every week I see more and more that makes me believe that Ole is the right man for this job. Take Ed Woodward away from the footballing side of the club, bring in a DoF and we will finally start to recover from the post-Fergie era.

I'd question if Lingard was truly ready to return or if he was just desperate to take part in the derby.

Salah continues his dire run of form against United - it's really baffling just how shite he is when he comes up against us, if I didn't see him play in other matches I'd be heavily questioning what the fuss is about. He's a great player, very talented but honestly he's better left at home against the Red Devils. It was very kind, i thought, of Young to let him out of his pocket this time. Having said that, i'm not sure Mo would have found his new surroundings in Shaw's pocket any more enjoyable.

Given how unlucky we were with the injuries I'll take a 0-0. Pool really should have stepped it up in the second half but I never really felt under pressure at any time. It was unfortunate that with the Rash knock we weren't much of a threat either so it turned out to be another dull match between the pair.

A 0-0 draw is not a bad result under the circumstances, a few months ago we probably would have lost that. It was clear from towards the end of the first half that no goals were going to be scored today, our defenders did a good job nullifying their attack and we are still the only Premier League team that Salah hasn't scored against. Hopefully Lingard, Mata and Rashford will make speedy recoveries.

As for Liverpool I don't think this should be seen as a bad result for them either at the moment as they've gone back to the top of the table having played an equal amount of games as Manchester City but if they lose the league by 2 points or less then this would be one of the games that they will look back on with regret.

Yeh I agree Sky Sports were trying to create that narrative that it was a bad result for Liverpool - I mean away to united is one of our hardest games of the season!

If we lose the title, we lose the title. It will probably be the fact we couldn't turn wins in to draws that may cost us, probably those two against Leicester and West Ham. But a long way to go yet and City will drop points too.

Our record at Old Trafford is awful and we're a bit rusty and off-form at the moment so personally I'm delighted with a point. I was in the air so I didn't watch the game, but from everything I've read I think Klopp went with a really pragmatic outlook. The two teams just cancelled each other out, and while going for the 3 points would have been exceptional, a defeat against Man Utd is a double whammy for fans and players.

Brendan Rodgers is expected to become Leicester City's manager after Celtic gave him permission to speak to the Premier League club, his first Premier League role since he left Liverpool in October 2015. What do you make of this?

He’s certainly been successful as manager in a one-team league.

Klopp reacting to Brendan Rodgers Premier League return:

"As long as he's not going to Everton and he wants his house back"

It's been lined up for ages, I guess the only surprise is that it's happened now and not at the end of the season as planned. Good look to him I guess, I don't think he's tactically astute to be a top level manager but I hope he does well.

Brendan Rodgers- How long do you reckon he'll last at Leicester City? I would say about 9 months.

I would say 18 months maximum given Leicester's track record. They still think they're a top 6 club.

Trippier's OG tonight is a thing of beauty  The media trying to make out Spurs have been in a title race - they've never been in it. If they're not careful they might fall out of the Top 4 at this rate. Surprisingly since they have rushed Kane back they look a lot worse off as a team..

Well Arsenal might rattle them this Saturday

That top 5 is beginning to get tighter now.

Tottenham are top 4 merchants really. They were in the title race around Christmas time when they were very close to the top 2 and even got into 2nd place but now they have settled into their familiar position of 3rd. Tottenham now are like how Arsenal were in the mid-late 2000's, teasing their fans of winning the league but ultimately just finishing in the top 4.

It would be absolutely hilarious now if Spurs fell out of the top 4, don't think it'll happen though. More importantly can they go through an entire campaign without a single draw? :o

City & Pool switching roles tonight in terms of squeezing past a team or hammering them. Watford are the #1 team for having their tummies tickled against the big boys - they regularly get ripped to shreds by teams above them so that result was a given. Everton will be an easy game too I expect they have a terrible Mersey derby record of late!

Final nail in the coffin for Fulham tonight too that's them down. Seems like there won't be a big relegation scrap this season although that final spot is up for grabs - realistically I expect Cardiff to take it as they have some hard games coming up.

Not sure if Arsenal are on fire or Bournemouth are in pieces here following their match. Could be possible that Tottenham miss out on the Top 4.

A little stat for you all:

For the first time under Mauricio Pochettino, Tottenham have failed to register a shot on target in a Premier League match.

I think people are being rather harsh on Tottenham or maybe it's mainly united fans that are trying to upset them for selfish reasons. 10 years ago Spurs were not one of the 'big teams' but because of excellent coaching by a great coach they have established themselves in there which is an achievement in itself. If it wasn't Liverpool I would love Spurs to do well.

To say Watford and Everton are given results for us is nonsense too. You have to turn up and perform and that's difficult!! Everton on Sunday will be unbelievably difficult to win!
