If you do lose, that's another 3 defeats in a role for you. You'll soon be waiting 29 years for a league title at this rate!

lol, City will be the favourites for the match even in normal circumstances and yes we may have to wait to win the league but surely not another 23 years

Re Crystal Palace: I think they could get into the top 10 eventually, possibly next season. The gap between 10th and mid table is usually very small each season and they did manage to finish 11th last season despite losing their first 7 matches.

Hodgson has done an absolute incredible job at Palace. I think if he's provided with a good budget in the summer he could take Palace top 10.

I have a suspicion Hodgson might retire at the end of the season. It would mean retiring on a relative high rather than being sacked at some point in the future.

Ashley Barnes is the only player to score against all of Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham in this season's Premier League.
A record broken as Shane Long scores for Southampton after six seconds against Watford which beats Ledley King's record by three seconds which was set against Bradford back in 2000.

That was a crazy start!

11 defeats and finish in the Top 4 would that be one of the highest amount in Premier League history?

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has been charged with misconduct after he was sent to the stands at the end of Monday's 2-2 draw with Burnley.

Tensions boiled over at the end of the match at Stamford Bridge.

David Luiz and Ashley Barnes were involved in an altercation on the pitch and a scuffle took place near the tunnel entrance at the final whistle.

Up until Leicester won it, it was fairly common for a team in the top 4 to have lost at least 10. The record in a 38 game season is Chelsea with 15 in 97/98, but that was before the top 4 was a thing.

Absolutely fantastic to see so many Manchester United fans wanting to get beat tonight - shows how far they've fallen. The fact that lots of fans would sacrafice playing in the Europa League over Top 4 is hilarious. Man Utd have basically just become Everton!

I've no doubt City will absolutely paste you, although I'll be cheering Utd on! Win tonight and you'll be heroes - lose and that's 7 defeats in 9 for Solskjaer. Pretty sure 6 weeks ago people were telling me they had a shot of the title next year!!

Never mind Rooney. At least Liverpool are on course to break the record for the most points in a Premier League season without winning the title. Who knows? the FA might create a trophy specially for Liverpool to mark the achievement.

It would be incredibly unlucky, but that's football. The only time 97 points wouldn't have won you the title is this season and the last season, which just tells you what two incredible teams are 1st and 2nd in the league.

The one solace is Man Utd are not going to be anywhere near the title for a long time. de Gea doing his best Fabien Bartez impression and Fred might as well be a Sunday League player. Ole will get time, which is great, cos he's doing the square root of zilch. Pretty sure I said a good few pages back about the XG, stats tell a massive picture. Enjoy Europa League!

Hahaha Always knew United were dung!!!!

So what IF we make 97 points that would be an unreal achievement, not to be sniffed at alongside our other great seasons - the 18 times we have won the league.

Bernardo Silva is class btw

It's a massive achievement - both us and City are light years ahead of all the other teams as shown by the ridiculous form the both of us are in. IF we got to 97 points it would be massive, but heartbreaking not to win the league with it. But we'll be there or thereabouts next season too so plenty to be positive about.

Yeh another defender and better substitutes who come on and score goals!

We were scrapping for 6th place with f***ing watford 5 months ago. That we've dragged ourselves by some miracle into a top 4 race that we were something like 18pts behind at one point is a big achievement for Ole. The squad is full of shit, they were hardly going to fix that in the January window when United are allergic to doing business in winter.

xG is a shower of shite, only anoraks in their mam's basement w*** themselves crazy over those stats. We've had a drop off in form (and that spate of injuries in Feb/Mar) purely because of fitness. When Ole first took charge we started playing more attacking football and they're simply not fit enough to have picked that up half way through the season. When the matches are every 4 days there is only so much work that can be done. This time next year will be the true test, after Ole has had a pre-season to build in the baseline.

And shall we not forget that Klopp had a similarly bumpy landing ;)

Oh come on you're tired.. that's a terrible excuse!! You had a purple patch of form (like Arsenal from about September-December), smashed some shit teams, had a couple of great results, but extremely lucky at the same time and now things have levelled out. I'd hardly call it attacking football when you're not scoring from open play, never mid registering shots from target. That wouldn't be too bad if you could keep clean sheets, but that's 0 in 11 now. That's more than a work of pre-season, that's a full rebuilding job. Just my opinion of course, but don't think he's the man, he's far too wrapped up in the past about this bloody Utd way.

Klopp might have had a far bumpier landing in his first season, we had finished 8th the previous season and had nowhere near the investment or good as squad at the time. We had the amazing Adam Bogdan in goal for a period of time.

Only 2-0? Great result tbh.

Yeah I really don't think the knives can come out for Ole until he's had at least one, maybe two, transfer windows. He's inherited an absolute pile of garbage let's not forget. I still have reservations myself over whether he can turn into a successful manager but judging him on the recent games isn't fair at all, it's down to him we won the first 10 or so games or whatever it was?!

The craziest thing is IF we beat Chelsea (we won't but still, one can dream) I'd still put us in with a decent shot of the top 4, as Arsenal have proven again they're not up for the fight!

2-0 at home to your local rivals a great result!? Just shows how far you have fallen really.

The idea that Solskjaer can turn this around is something else imo. I don't even think your squad is that bad, it's just I have no idea what you are trying achieve and clearly too many players who are either angling for a move away or are just plain inconsistent. That's what the beauty of Solskjaer is right now, he will get time because he is a Man Utd legend. Dunno how long he will get though before the knives come out, maybe a season at best. There's only so long you can blame the players..

Roy Keane was class on sky earlier - G Nev was defending them and he kept saying - 2 shots on target?? That's good?
