Big respect to Morgan Schneiderlin for playing today for Everton following the passing of his Dad that definitely couldn't have been easy.

Burnley in a spot of bother, or will they recover?

Going down - I called it beginning of the season. They've been in average-poor form for a long time now. Their good form (start of last season) if you actually look at the statistics behind it, shows they were really lucky. I think there are a few key players they're missing out which could make a difference though (Brady, Pope).

Think there are far worse teams in the division so they'll be alright. Were always in for a tough start with their European excursions.

I'm very surprised at the poor starts for Newcastle & Huddersfield.

Newcastle have had the hardest fixtures and Huddersfield barely survived. I think it's between these two + Burnely and Cardiff as to who goes now. Then maybe Southampton, Brighton and possibly Everton to struggle at times but be ok.

Huddersfield & Cardiff are shoe ins for relegation I think, they both don't score enough goals and concede too much at the same time. Cardiff in particular are in big trouble with Neil Warnock as their manager.
Just watched the West Ham vs. Everton highlights - a great match to get them off the mark, they certainly didn't look like a team who had lost their first 4 matches. A very good league debut for Yarmolenko as well.
They look a proper outfit, Neves is a class act and Doherty doesn't need to do much more to get into MONs plans surely?

Tbf to Warnock, he's normally out of his depth at this level but without him they would have been a lower championship team, really makes the most of the players he's got there.

Exactly he's a great Championship manager, but he's just not good enough at Premier League level. I mean to be fair Cardiff have by far one of the weakest squads, but they look doomed right now. You can see Warnock maybe lasting until the international break, but then I do wonder if Big Sam might get THAT phone call...

Allardyce, Moyes, Pardew - literally take your pick. One of these will be drafted back in at some point.

Bizarre isn't it how so many average managers keep getting jobs. I can't see Mark Hughes lasting too long either unless they pull some results out of the bag against the bigger clubs over the next 5-7 games.

I don't think Cardiff will pay Sams wage request, prob happy to reinvest next year after potentially going down like Burnley and go from there. Didn't spend a huge amount this summer.

Apparently Neil Warnock said before their match against Man City "at least we only have to play them twice" , as soon as I heard that I knew Cardiff were going to get absolutely destroyed by Man City. It's like he set the team up for failure even before a ball was kicked, statements like that will just instantly shatter the confidence of his players and as always after a heavy defeat he was laughing and smiling in his post match press confidence. No matter who it is that you're playing you cant be happy with a loss, especially when it's such a heavy loss like that to add to a growing list of heavy losses.

Credit to Wolves for getting the draw against us, they already look like such an established Premier League team. I can't actually think of a better team that has just been newly promoted and I think they will cause problems for everyone this season.

Wolves look great but they had a Premier League team in the Championship. They've spent a lot of money and can attract a different caliber of players, fair play to them though I agree they will cause lots of teams problems this year especially if the front 3 start firing goals.

Maurizio Sarri says that Liverpool are a step ahead of Chelsea and that it will take 1 year for Chelsea to get to Liverpool's level. This is either an attempt at mind games or he's setting Chelsea up for defeat against Liverpool on the weekend and possibly midweek as well. I guess we'll find out over the next few days!
He's not wrong, but on the other hand Conte won the league in his first season when they finished the previous one even lower so it's not like Sarri shouldn't be aiming for the title.
Not sure who will want to win on Wednesday lol with both teams in Europe especially Chelsea with the Europa league. Obv would love the win on Sunday!

Well it's a bit of both isn't it. Chelsea are nowhere near fully invested in Sarri's ideas, I mean his defence is not right at all for how he likes to play. I think he's just setting expectations if they do get beat (as the Liverpool game is their first real test of the season). The midweek game will just be full of fringe players and the odd first teamer, but I am wanting a win. If we get beat its's not the end of the world, but it's a trophy to win. I think the FA Cup comes at a more inconvenient time and is harder to balance.
