Yeh agreed! Are we at home on Sunday?

Away - hopefully be a great game regardless of the result. 3 points at the Bridge would be a huge statement ready for City for the following week.

Rafael Benitez has been charged by the Football Association over comments he made about referee Andre Marriner before Saturday's 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace.

How long does Mourinho get now? Surely another bad result midweek spells curtains. Magnificent result for West Ham though, I wonder if they might kick on now they have go their difficult fixtures out of the way.
At the bottom end, it definitely looks like there's more than a few teams that are just going to be relying on there being three teams worse than them to avoid relegation!

They sacked Moyes the day after it was mathematically impossible to qualify for the Champions League. They didn't quite do that with van Gaal as it was the last game of the season they missed out, and they had the FA Cup final the weekend after, let him manage it but given his sacking had came out within about half an hour of them winning it, it's safe to assume that was a decision that had already been made. I imagine they put some kind of clause into contracts that allows them to sack a manager much more cheaply if they fail to qualify.

Can Mourinho last that long? It's hard to see and it's also difficult to see them improving much. If he could take the Chelsea side he won the league with to 15th with 15 points from 16 games then he can keep this Man Utd team scrapping around mid-table, if not worse. He signed a new contract in January, would cost approx £25m to sack him now. Surely they can't let him continue like this for their usual trigger point?

And I thought Arsenal were having a bad day until the end of the second half with Watford, mind you Watford gave them a good game, their next 2 games should see them firmly in the top 5 for sure, against Fulham and (Leicester hopefully). When I saw the final result of the West Ham and Man United game, with West Ham been clinging to the bottom of the table for a while, that was pretty much a surprise win. Well I know 1 person at work will be happy with that result tomorrow.

The trouble with Mourinho is that his whinges so much that he still sounds pathetic even when he has a case. West Ham's first goal was offside and there was a strong case for a free kick in the lead-up to the third. The second was a bit of a freakish own goal but people will still just laugh at him because of all he previous lame excuses.

I have to say it does look like an increasingly untenable position for Jose now. He definitely has to shoulder some of the blame no doubt but this season at United more than any under him has shown a number of players in unattractive light. It's clear long-term building is not an option anymore so I can see us (unfortunately) adopting a Chelsea-like structure going forward with a high turnover of players & staff still with the aim of constant success. Whether it works or not is anyone's guess.

Mourinho does have to go in the sense that it is becoming a carbon copy of Chelsea 15/16 and we have literally no idea when the next win is coming. The constant team selection/formation changes are getting ridiculous now - you don't see any of the other top teams doing it. But so many of the team genuinely lack quality too & I don't think any active manager in the world would turn them into world-beaters.

The irony I find is it is obvious you are sounding out Zidane, but he is a Champions League specialist when you might not even be in the Champions League! Mourinho seems to shouldering a lot of the blame to players as an obvious get-out and it's not my fault clause when he does inevitably go.

I think if Man Utd actually built long term and had a clear strategy it wouldn't take too long for you to be right back up there again. But I genuinely have no idea what the club is even trying to achieve at the moment bar turn a commercial profit.

The way football is if they find the right fit of manager it won't take long to get them back on top again!

..but from my perspective long may it continue! :D The irony is they are not far from turning in to everything they take the mick out of Liverpool for!

As long as we qualify for the Champions league our owners don’t give a flying f***. The only thing that scares them is us not having any profits to divert into their Swiss bank account. The entire management structure of the club needs to be hung out to dry and owners brought in that don’t care about building wealth off the back of our club.

:D

I wonder if Cardiff will break Derby County's record for lowest amount of points in a Premier League season? they actually have less points after 7 games than Derby did in the 2007/08 season.

I can't see Warnock lasting much longer, then I suspect a Moyes/Allardyce will come in.

It would take a special kind of special to ever "beat" that Derby record. Remember Palace had lost 7 games & scored 0 goals after 7 matches last season but turned it around. Not saying Cardiff will do the same but I'm reasonably confident they'll sneak the odd win, most likely after Warnock is sacked.

They would do well to keep Warnock for next year imo. Might sound weird but there hasn't been much investment and they've overachieved getting to the premiership. They would go down and still make money to reinvest like Burnley a few years back!

Oh I'm loving footballing life this decade lol
