I don’t see Japan winning this at all now, poor Japan but excellent from Belgium!

As soon as the first Belgian goal went in I thought they were likely winners. Of course, I might yet be proved wrong.

He should have done better on the first shot as he parried it into danger! He was Dundee United goalkeeper when we got relegated and he’s just a walking accident in the goal!

Belgium would have won rather easily in extra time in my opinion!

Wow, what a second half from Belgium and 5 goals in the second half after 2-0 down, Lukaku please move to Arsenal.

Poor Japan. They can be proud of themselves though, and Belgium were very strong after the tactic change. Brazil certainly have to watch themselves!

I am going to make sure to watch that entire second half, but I was looking forward to catching ET. I am of course glad that Japan gave everyone a good game but I am sad now.

On top of that they missed a couple of chances, hitting the woodwork, and Lukaku just missing out.

 

Brazil versus Belgium; Friday is going to be a good match to watch.

Whew what a match! Absolutely heartbreaking finish there for Japan, although I hate to admit that really did show how excellent Belgium can be and they more than outplayed them after that blip so did deserve to win. Still, Japan really put up a fight and should be proud of themselves. I reckon they could've beat us with that performance :kink: Just goes to show that underdogs CAN actually be entertaining to watch if they don't constantly park the bus and play defensive.

Cracking second half. At least Japan made up for the embarrassment against Poland

Despite their negative play in the Poland match, which put me off them a bit, I do feel sorry for Japan losing out at such a late stage in normal time.

 

Hoping that Belgium beat Brazil in their next match but they will have to play better overall to have a chance.
