Idk why we keep going back to the money side of things in this discussion; BMG are a very successful company. They can afford to air adverts if they choose to.

Btw: Without the cassettes, Golden would have placed at #69 on Friday.

Agreed and Kylie must be their most successful act, seems very strange to suggest they can't afford to do these things.

Literally the most bizzare thing I see on here is such obsession with profits  The album has sold 120k+ and the mark up on physicals would be 50%+ so they have well recouped on investment and even if they hadn’t I couldn’t care less tbh

Great that Golden would be T75 even without cassettes!

Streaming is low pay where there is more money from phyisicals. I would think the sales target for golden was 100,000 and it's well past that now.

62 in midweeks. 929 sold.

Nice.

should hold top 100 again this week and near 2k sales

That result is inline with what i was anticipating.

Another 2k sales or near to it is good, the album moves closer to 125,000 now and catching up on Kylie Christmas.

Breakdown of sales this week so far:

62 (42) GOLDEN

Sales: 929

Yesterday: 336

CD: 775

Digital: 70

Streaming: 65

Vinyl: 16

Again pleased with that result - it’s selling with very limited promo (R2 radio plays) so it’s holding up nicely!

The sales for the vinyl surprise me, casual buyers are still picking this up which is very positive.

Looks like 3 people have managed to get hold of a cassette this week too.

Compared to last Monday's update, CD sales are up 420 copies. Seems like Amazon's discount of the deluxe has helped out well.

Great news from Stewie on Sayhey...from the figures below I've calculated just 164 sales Monday - I guess some figures were missing and added into yesterday's 529. 693 sales over the last 2 days is still a good rate.

UPDATE (and a good one at that)

57 (42) GOLDEN

Yesterday: 529

Sales: 1,622

WoW: -26%

CD: 1,352

Digital: 99

Streaming: 144

Vinyl: 25

Golden was the 44th biggest seller yesterday... 529 copies in one day, she was 67 in Tuesday's update, so a jump of 10 places in 1 day.

PS: Cheryl still going down 47 today

Missing from AMAZON STRM, APPLE STRM, SPOTIFY STRM, YOUTUBE for Tue.

That is a wonderful surprise and a great boost from Monday sales.

Golden, may manage to stay in the Top 75 region based on that.

Great boost! Guessing the Amazon Black Friday deal is helping as fans that may have only bought the standard version might be tempted to get another copy along with the GP.
Great news on Golden midweeks - loving this gentle burn of a great album - MTSWY can't believe the strength of reaction
