August 28, 20187 yr Freya/Dynoro and Gigi are two of the best chart hits in YEARS for me, hope they both go a lot higher. Interesting to see Baby Shark top 30 :o It is stupidly catchy but I wouldn't have expected it to be a big chart hit.
August 28, 20187 yr Baby Shark is coming!!! *_* I expect the video streams are really helping this, wonder where it'd be without them. That's good for Calvin to only be that far behind, he's ahead on Spotify so should be able to overtake by Friday. Dynoro top 15 is excellent, he's climbing incredibly quick. Possibly a future top five contender then. Not at all fussed on the BTS song but good for them to finally have a UK top 40 hit, we barely get any K-pop chart hits so good to see them here for the sake of variety. Hopefully Juice WRLD can actually stick in the top 10 this time but we thought he'd had it last week so he could easily spend another week at #11. Would be nice if Freya Ridings could stay top 40 too, been a while since we've had a simple lovely piano ballad in the chart.

August 28, 20187 yr I think it's safe to say 'Baby Shark' is going to be to this autumn/winter what 'Gangnam Style' was to the autumn/winter of six years ago - most probably a number one hit into the bargain too. Which actually, as a chart watcher who grew up with the charts in September/October being dominated by those 'craze' releases that sold millions of copies and were never heard from again beyond the disappointing follow up releases (Whigfield, Eiffel 65, Lou Bega etc) I am all for.
