Back in April, OCC revealed that Get Outta My Way had sold 100,000 in the UK, although I'm not sure if this was just physicals/downloads.

Definitely just pure sales as All the Lovers was on 383k yet had been certified Gold a year prior.

Got to say that it's pure sale were much better than I expected. Think it had sold 60-70k by the time it left the charts so decent trickle sales for a song that was a small hit. Would be interested to see a combined total.

Yeah, that is pretty incredible really. :o I think it is a fairly well known song though considering.

I really wish 'Aphrodite' had been the third single. Let's face it, the entire point of 'Better Than Today's release revolved around that X-Factor performance and that could have been so much more extravagant.

It most likely says alot when two of the songs here still remain on zero votes.

That said, it is very much a runaway winner based on the votes received at this points.

'All The Lovers' Her absolute best song for me

The era was a mess singles wise after GOMW in all honesty...

01. All The Lovers

02. Get Outta My Way

03. Cupid Boy

04. Closer or Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel the Love)

Imo.

What song do you think would have made better choice as third single ahead of Better Than Today and do you think the album would have benefited more greatly with sales if a different single was released.

It would be between Aphrodite and Cupid Boy.

Both may have worked as singles.

I don't know that any single would've brought her more commercial success than those chosen.

But, for me, 'Can't Beat The Feeling' delivers more punch than both 'Put Your Hands Up' and 'Get Outta My Way'.

Also 'Closer', with an autumn release and a dark, sensuous video, would've done more for me than 'Better Than Today'.

Cupid boy could have worked good as single. Aphrodite is a good album and if the album had got more TV promo it may have sold more. All the lovers is classic kylie and it has aged really good. I hope dancing ages just as good.

All The Lovers is certainly classic Kylie, so euphoric and fresh.

Aphrodite is an extremely solid album and one of Kylie's most consistent albums based on the sound.

It is an album that flows extremely well in full entirety with the possible exception of Beautiful.

I really don't think Aphrodite would have worked as a single. Cupid Boy's probably the only other song that could potentially have fared a little better than Better Than Today.

Cupid Boy did have single potential but had it became the selection the release needed to have good handling and cohesiveness which Better Than Today didnt have.

'All the Lovers' is my favourite out of the singles too. It's takes all the elements we love about Kylie to make the perfect pop package - the video, the production, the lyrics... it's all so uplifting, euphoric, sensitive and affectionate. No surprise it's gone on to be one of Kylie's biggest and most loved hits.

'Get Outta My Way' is another stellar song though. Perfect for the clubs with its infectious energy and lyrics with great attitude.

I remember at the time being so sure that either 'Cupid Boy' or 'Aphrodite' were lined up as the third single and being shocked when 'Better Than Today' was announced. It never even crossed my mind to be a single but, I have to say, the X Factor performance made me realise what a fun song it really is. The handling of it as a single was a mess but I don't rebuke it as a single itself. That said, I do think it was a missed opportunity not releasing 'Aphrodite' as the third single. That could have been really something with a spectacular video with an X Factor performance that followed a similar concept.

'Put Your Hands Up' is a fab track too. I consider it a single but nothing more than what it was: a treat for the fans.

Going back to 'Cupid Boy', as much as it remains one of my very favourites on the album, with hindsight I'm unsure if it would have worked quite as well as a single. There's something quite specific to Kylie fans about it; I don't know if it would have reached a wider audience than that.

I agree actually, at the time I'd have pegged 'Cupid Boy' as a 4th single in a successful era but in hindsight it just doesn't really work.

This album really was slim pickings for single potential.

It's an album I love but I find myself agreeing on its lack of single potential. That's not a negative necessarily though, it doesn't have a bearing on the quality of the tracks, it's just about what audience they'd target.

Likewise, you could have an album that was full of single potential but didn't necessarily work as a full package.

Didn’t really need to think about which song to vote for - only All the lovers is worthy of being the best single!
