I decided to make the trip and got a copy ;-), they had 2 in stock

Congrats on actually finding a copy in-store :cheer:

Hopeful that this will return to the Top 40 officially - Sainsburys are tweeting they are sold out in most locations, also the recent double vinyl reissue has just sold out on the Juno store so both versions should count towards the chart :cheer:

OCC:

Finally, Kylie Minogue’s self-titled 1994 album could re-enter the Top 40 following an exclusive white vinyl release (27), while her latest album Golden rebounds 21 places to 35 as she kicks off her UK arena tour.

#27 for KM94!

Great result and similar to LY (I think it’s first midweek update was #23?), should hopefully just make the Top 40 or at least be very close to doing so.

They are wonderful midweeks positions.

It looks positive for Kylie to have 2 Top 75 positions for this week.

I’m fully expecting both to be at least Top 50, I’m hopeful KM94 will be able to just hold on to a Top 40 place

I've noticed that quite a few copies on eBay haven't been selling today, including one with a starting bid of £29.99 (+ a £5.99 postage charge on top of that, but that was still one of the cheaper ones going).

Quite a few of these eBay sellers are going to be disappointed that they're not making big profits out of this one!

^^ Yes so pleased that they are not selling for crazy prices, there are so many of them listed it’s brought the price down to about £25 with free shipping so literally zero profit for the ones who bought them all in order to make money. A lot of KM fans have realised the European version is going to be the same (Minus the ‘Sainsburys Exclusive’ sticker  ).

Pleased they are not making money out of this after being so greedy but they have helped nicely with the midweek position - might make them think twice when the next ‘exclusive’ is released! I think demand is a lot lower for this generally as it was originally released on vinyl and then the double vinyl re-issue a few years back so this is really only one for the completists.

Amazon seem to be stocking the original CD (Rather than it being sold by a 3rd party) so wonder if BMG have put it into production again? I’ve ordered a copy in the hopes that it’s sealed as despite owning various versions of the album I don’t have a sealed CD copy and plus it will be an extra chart sale for this week along with the Sainsburys and BeWith vinyl I purchased plus at least 1 full album stream a day :P

It would be good to see it in back in production and possible pick up some extra sales for the album.

This vinyl release will help bring at least some attention to the album.

How much did KM94 vinyl cost in Sainsbury’s by the way?

Sainsburys seem to be restocking like they did with Light Years - went in one on my break earlier and they had 2 copies out.

If they are re-stocking it means it is selling which is wonderful.

I hope we get midweek chart information today.

If i remember correctly the week Light Years returned both it and Golden were very near to each other on the chart at numbers 36 and 38.

Could it happen again?

Hopefully stores restocking will mean the album can stay Top 40. Think you could be right about them appearing at similar, close positions.

#37 on the update today.

Falling faster than LY did :nocheer: Should still make the Top 50 though!
