If it's true, hopefully it's out by Christmas! :D

"Stools" is actually quite a nice word to describe just about all of their output.

Some sort of celebration to mark 20 years since their formation, I guess.

 

They had some tunes (World of Our Own still goes off when it's played on nights out in my town) but an Ed Sheeran co-write fills me with dread.

It’s funny to get a younger perspective on Westlife - someone who didn’t have to live through their popularity :lol:

 

Though in retrospect, they started off alright! It just got worse when they became karaoke kings. So many number 1s :mellow:

I would love to do a Buzzjack Westlife rate just for the :lol:'s. I'm by no means a fan but can see 'Uptown Girl', World Of or Own' and 'Bop Bop Baby' as reasonably ok catchy pop songs. Their ballads though 'You Raise Me Up' aside are mainly awful.

You Raise Me Up is a bit of a guilty pleasure (though not something I ever really play out of choice either)

 

Most of their output was awful and forgettable, hard to believe they achieved 14 #1 singles.

I remember my sister spamming their songs! :P

 

 

I did enjoy some of their material.

I always preferred Take That but Westlife released numeorus singles i liked and were better than Boyzone.

It will be interesting to see how the comeback is perceived.

I am sure Shane Filan more than the others will be hoping for a big success to help his financial situation.

 

Take Tha and Westlife aren't really comparable imo! TT at least had huge talent and original songs.
