i cant beliee it sold 6k already.... thats a shame it could have challenge for official #1 should it released tomorrow!!! why guys why?
DigitalSalesData are famous for vastly over estimating. Not to take away from what they are achieving, but that number is more then likely actually a good 2k-3k lower iirc.

I agree those numbers are only an estimate

but those sales are not counting in next weeks official chart? :(

There's a performance on The Graham Norton Show tomorrow which will help, and I'm sure they've got all sorts of promo lined up.

Also, it’s an estimation of what it might sell over an entire 24 hour period, not just the past few hours. And even then it’s overestimated.

It’s most certainly not sold 6,000 downloads in 5 hours ;)

Oh Ok Jay, thanks for that.

I cannot deny it...this is actually a fantastic song. Not the sort of thing you'd expect them to come back with at all given their history but it works for them. It's going to be interesting to see how they perform in a market that was already moving away from them at their last single - which was only seven years ago - but I reckon this is probably going to be much bigger than people anticipated.
This would've been a good Eurovision entry! I still can't quite seeing this being a hit - I'd imagine this will be played on Magic/Smooth/R2 until the end of time but I just can't see it doing anything on Spotify as it still sounds dated despite it being much more than I'd have expected from Westlife!
yes Jenny said they filmed it on a desert on LA with hot air balloons. and several media reported something about it on December.
They count pure sales, just not streams of Thursday releases. But it would have had to have sold about 7,000 downloads today to chart which is a tall order.
I quite like it, I agree with the Take That vibes. I'm getting major The Wanted vibes as well (well, their later stuff). I think this could do OK in streaming actually with the right promotion and playlist pushes..

OCC's comparison to Bop Bop Baby and Uptown Girl is just wrong maybe just to have a recall for their old fans. The song is more of a faster version of Something Right, Difference in Me, Beautiful Tonight.

well, their fans like "dated" pop songs like Beautiful in White that was uploaded on Youtube in 2011 but only got 100m views last year. they can't shift to a different sound drastically they will lose fans

vevo uk tweeted yesterday: "It's only been 10 days but fairly confident that Hello My Love is song of the year." maybe promo with them coming up.

I just can't believe they will chart that high on itunes Chile, Ecuador #2, Brazil #5 and those European countries not familiar to them. #43 US Pop, #10 Japan Pop, #2 Mexico Pop, #162 Canada, #39 Canada Pop, #13 Saudi Arabia

They didn't compare it to Uptown Girl and Bop Bop Baby, they just said its BPM places between those two songs, lol.
