I’m really not disappointed with SBIT at all tbh.

A 1-2-4-12-18-21-39 chart run is something most acts could dream of 30+ years into their career especially as most ‘legacy’ artists are extremely front loaded. It’s been a big success and cash generator (£15 for cassettes that likely cost under 50p to produce for starters!), and been certified silver - everything from now on is a bonus for me.

The album WILL get constant boosts over the coming months and years and BMG well know this is not a 4 week wonder.

Agreed. Would have been nice if the album could have remained higher in the charts, particularly after Brighton Pride which didn't seem to give a boost, but I know the album will receive a pretty good boost at every promo opportunity and we know that BMG have plans in time for Christmas, so I'm not too worried if it does start to dip for now.

That is the only good news this week.

I did not expect at all for STIT to be outside the Top 35 this week.

Unfortunately, with no new promotion it will now be in free fall. I expect the album will drop out if the T75 in the next few weeks. I can’t see it reaching 100k unless there is more promotion or a reissue nearer Christmas but seriously, will the record company even bother with a reissue when it’s only just sold over 60k in total in the U.K.?

Honestly, I'm not even that interested in the "boosts" in the coming months, but more where it settles when all is said and done. As long as they make the effort to keep this one in print I could see it settling in the 500-1000 copies per week territory, which would make it a nice catalog seller.

Totally this! I’m more than happy with its initial performance - #1, silver status, 7 weeks Top 40 so far. I’m much more interested in it’s longevity - The Maroon 5 Greatest Hits only reached #35 but has spent 111 weeks Top 100 so far which is massive and the album trickle sells every week, would love Kylie to do the same.

But the ‘only’ 60,000+ copies it’s sold in 7 weeks have largely been physical which is a huge money spinner for basically minimal outlay - there were no recording or video costs, production etc., - I’m sure the whole project is/will be a profit maker - they’ve been selling picture discs and green vinyl for £20+ rather than getting those £0.0008 streams.

Also this isn’t a studio album where it has to be an instant mega success outside of what it’s already achieved - this collection could sell for years to come.

What have its streaming sales been in the last couple of weeks? That's probably a good indication of what the album could end up "selling" each week.
Streaming from what I know is low,its def an album that will have trickle sales for years that will at the least see the album be well into gold sales.

I believe around 500?

Yeah, 569 this week for streaming (+ 1,372 physicals and 101 downloads too).

It's a shame that the streaming is pretty low. She's #12 in the sales chart!

According to digital spy kylie will performing a medley of hits on the launch show of this years strictly. Great slot and promo and should give the album a sales lift, is this a sign she will promo the album well for q4.

Yep Kylie promo will start August 30th a Friday night Strictly slot pre recorded buy good start to that week. We will also probably have her new song with Tove Lo that week to as her album is out 8th September. Not saying it will sell loads but hopefully will give Kylie another top 40 week and a few thousand sales

Thanks for the update! Love that streaming is on par with digital sales - hopefully as more and more people get on board with streaming this will help acts like Kylie.

Epic physical sales though - BMG know how to market acts like Kylie and pull in the ££££.
