October 4, 20186 yr Going to be unpopular but... I’m usually the first to stan anything Charli releases but I’m not crazy for this? The lyrics are cliché and there isnt much to it after the production and chorus. Maybe it’ll grow like 5 In The Morning did but at the moment its meh. Why couldn’t Focus have been the single :unsure:

October 5, 20186 yr Perhaps the Ed comparison was a bit much, production wise it's certainly not and I guess the lyrics are at least presented in a way that sounds like it's Charli herself, but the whole nostalgia thing is so dull now and it's hard to distract myself from that, not when other factors of the song aren't doing it for me nor when you've got a near direct reference to '2002' with the Baby One More Time line.

October 5, 20186 yr At least they got the year right! (for the UK release) The Saturdays had the best 'Baby One More Time' reference. I think this could be the first Charli song I've actually properly liked in years! I did think 'Boys' would be huge though, that still surprises me.

October 11, 20186 yr This is such a bop! Charli's singles this year have all been so good - hopefully this one turns into a hit. The music video will be released at 6pm UK time and she's performing G-A-Y on Saturday - wish I could go, she's so much fun live!
October 11, 20186 yr This is too good to go un-noticed! I think if this does start to pick up it'll go top 10 and be fairly long-running like 'Boom Clap'. It's so 2018 charts without sounding like a copy of anything. It's the production that takes this a level above the rest imo!
