October 15, 20187 yr Salute is their only good song too :( I could easily see the Spices or GA singing it, an authentic song #salute #@tteeeention
October 15, 20187 yr I can't really warm to 'Woman Like Me'. It feels a little too far removed from what the girls do best, fun and upbeat. It must just be a cardinal rule of all pop groups who make it to a fourth/fifth album in their original run of success. Hopefully there are better songs on the album. Nice to see 'Moves' making upward progress again. Hopefully Jess Glynne gets number 1 album. Edited October 15, 20187 yr by ThePensmith
October 16, 20187 yr Is this really that far removed from what they've done before though? Especially seeing as WLM feels like it'd fit in and be one of the stronger tracks from 'Salute', maybe just a bit more mature and chilled? The message and attitude and fierce that we all associate with LM tracks is still there.
October 16, 20187 yr I miss GA, great girlband. I think Little Mix will be fine this era but they need a strong second single.

The message and attitude and fierce that we all associate with LM tracks is still there. Now you see 'Salute' is one of their best singles for me. Because it had a maturer sound but it didn't neglect what I feel has always been part of what makes a Little Mix song appealing: a catchy, almost anthemic refrain. It sounds like a hen party in an army tank (I mean that in the best possible way). I completely get my life everytime the chorus or the 'HATTENTION' bits kick in. 'Woman Like Me' just lacks that for me, and I just hope they haven't neglected that sparkiness on the rest of the album.

October 16, 20187 yr much preferred Sugagabes :D nice to have the update so early, kinda feel sorry for L Mix :/ Jess was always gonna be #1 on albums with a 10k lead, GAGA monsters were delusional if they thought she'd catch up
October 16, 20187 yr Im still thinking Dave will be number 1 considering all streaming data missing including YouTube.
October 16, 20187 yr Spice Girls will forever rule Girlbandom, but can we also just name check the massively under-rated The Saturdays. Up Higher Ego What About Us All Fired Up My Heart Takes Over Disco Love Not Giving Up = absolute bops
October 16, 20187 yr Shallow MIGHT climb to #4, depending on how LM do for the rest of the week. It won't overtake Happier, Promises or Funky Friday.
October 16, 20187 yr Me too. They could do nothing wrong. They have a discography even stronger than the Spices! 'Biology' was the one for me, they ripped up the rulebooks completely with songs like that! Won't happen again because record labels have more control than ever and need a certain sound to fit.

October 16, 20187 yr I was in my local HMV (Dundee) today and half the staff were wearing HMV/Jess Glynne Tshirts. Interesting bit of promotion going on there! :D
October 16, 20187 yr Looks like Michael was right (re: Little Mix not debuting at #1) - even the great #psychic7 seems to have been wrong this week! :o

Up Higher Ego What About Us All Fired Up My Heart Takes Over Disco Love Not Giving Up = absolute bops The Saturdays did some great pop songs and were more authentic than the overrated Spice Girls.
