Monday at 18:313 days Now that we have confirmation about that… do we think Parlophone was aware of the rules? Or they just didn’t care about it becoming its own separate thing? It seems a bit shortsighted / daft of them to not ensure it added to the original Kylie Christmas chart run and sales! And they could have easily ensured that was the case with a more carefully chosen track list. So that technically means the #12 peak will continue to be Kylie Christmas’ peak, but we’re in with a shot of #1 for Kylie Christmas (Fully Wrapped) lol. Will be interesting to see how this is noted down on her Wikipedia page. Have a feeling they’ll edit Kylie Christmas’ peak position, even though that’s not strictly going to be true.

And they could have easily ensured that was the case with a more carefully chosen track list.I’m sure Parlophone were aware, Kylie seems to be heavily involved in her releases so maybe she had the final say on the tracklist?It’s a shame as KC trickle sells and has a small spike each Christmas so to split that away from the new version is definitely a missed opportunity, I’m guessing overall they and Kylie won’t care too much as they’ll have the ‘#1 album’ headline.

It was Top 250 on the combined (albums and compilations) chart though.

Monday at 21:403 days ……the Amazon numbers are going back up too so it’d be bloody brilliant if they’ve not yet reported all sales through the pop up or her store. The reported CD sales seem quite ‘low’ though of course I do understand this is only a repack and the appeal of the new formats is still limited when compared to a full album release and something like T2. 20k would be a good result now and surely should be sufficient for number 1….though its sales so far may already be enough. It is crazy how popular on streaming Olivia is…over ten times more. I was hoping Kylie’s streams would be much better. Thank god for the Amazon spam.

Monday at 22:293 days As its not a brand new album they were never going to do as many different versions as they would for a brand new album.They just need to keep their eye on the prize now and not let the number 1 slip away at the last minute.

(nice move if the sales are not ‘needed’ this week).
Tuesday at 09:372 days I think once they reach 18k this week they’ll be confident, if not they’ll offer a special web store download for instant sales. Is there any big album next week? Might be fantasy but potentially if they can sell plenty of physicals inc the pop up one, a special digital exclusive and 2000 streams they will stay top 5 week 2. Week 3 the streams should be enough alongside a few physicals still selling to stay in the chart reasonably high.
