Hi, is Dancing Queen by Cher still at #64? Thanks in advance.

It's climbed a place.

Is Tom Odell anywhere in the mid weeks?

Album is in the Top 100.

Is ASIB still #13?

Up one place.

Looks like we'll be seeing out the year without any track selling 100k in any given week. The first time certainly since 1980 that this has happened.

That's incredible if so

Rita only dropping to #9 despite being on ACR

Her album is #9, Let You Love Me is #13

That's crazy, a terrible stat given the fact that streams are included now. Hope this isn't the beginning of the end for the charts.

Not at all. The inclusion of streams and the move to OA/OS just secured that songs sell more consistently instead of a huge burst in one week. Only the absolute biggest tracks will sell over 100k in one week - Ariana almost did it with thank u, next for example. Sales for the #1 may look worse than normal but total sales are healthier than ever.

Overall chart units (mostly made of streaming figures) as high as they've ever been, the problem is songs now have their total sales spread over a very long period of time making 100k chart units in a week very hard to achieve.

I imagine we'll only be seeing those kind of weekly sales for the really huge songs, we're clearly not heading back to 2013 where 100k in a week was common despite streaming overall getting bigger.

(basically what Joseph just said lol)

Plus as streams make up so much of the chart units now, you can't really compare figures to judge popularity. 100,000 chart sales 90% made up of streams cannot be directly compared to 100,000 individual sales. Obviously they needed a way of adding sales & streams together for chart purposes but quoting weekly or total "sales" figures and comparing them with the sales era is kinda pointless.

A record like Ariana Grande's latest (doing something like 9 million streams in a week was it?) would probably have done 150k+ a week in the sales era.

Wow. Is Rita going to miss the top 10 then?

She won't.

there's literally a 2k sales gap between #10 and #11, Rita is definitely holding onto a top 10 position.

What position is Olly Murs in the album chart?

Olly is #14

Have a feeling Rita is gonna miss the top 10 lmao

Compare her to Take That and she's really flopping.

Are Take That safe for top 10 though?

Could be touch and go, if Rita's cheque makes it to HMV :o :o
