November 26, 20187 yr Ultimately my point is that it's all about the music with TT throughout their career. I do agree with that. However that really didn't come across at all in your previous posts.
November 26, 20187 yr Yeh apologies, I think I was annoyed at Sammy01 point that SGs 'could be' amazing when they haven't proved it and TT being crap!
November 26, 20187 yr A Take That and Spice Girls duet with be awesome,i so enjoy both groups. The girls are Take That fans too so .... you never know.. Both are legends in their fields with remarkable careers and legacies to leave behind.
November 26, 20187 yr Why are you comparing Take That and Rita Ora though? They are quite obviously on totally different levels when it comes to both singles and albums at the moment. Does Rita have to sell the same amount as Take That for you to be impressed by her figures? Let's put things into perspective, because on a relative basis, BOTH acts are doing just fine. As for Milly's point about why Rita isn't as frontloaded, it's because she currently has a broader appeal as opposed to selling mostly to an existing fanbase. Take That can sell more, but I expect Rita will sell more consistently past Christmas once the gift-buying season is over and she continues to get more singles success. However, the daily sales for Take That are proving it is definitely frontloaded. 67k -> 18k -> 5k is a sharp decline even though it's going to finish on impressive sales nonetheless. It will plateau and sell well over Christmas I'm sure, but let's not pretend it's going to keep up these huge sales every week. It HAS been boosted by the tour packages and the fanbase buys, it's nothing to get defensive about, it's a fact proved by its decline in daily sales since day 1! I didn't make any attempt to deny Take That's sales are front-loaded but its hardly their fault they have a big, committed fanbase who will buy tour tickets at huge expense or pre-order the album in advance. I need to pick up the point about Rita's album picking up as she gets MORE single success. She's already 5 singles from the album, 4 of which went top 10. That's a lot of single success already which should be boosting the album now. I'm not sure why you have tried to make out I have said things I haven't but it just reaffirms my point, the number 1 album with nearly 90k sales and over 5 times more sales than the number 2 album is being talked down and more reasons/excuses being made as to why the number 6 album hasn't done better so far. Take from that what you will. Edited November 26, 20187 yr by dennispennis123

November 27, 20187 yr I'm not sure why you would compare the 2, the Spice Girls haven't released anything in 11 years and not released a studio album in 18 years. Why are you comparing Take That and Rita Ora though? You can't compare the two really.I'm sensing a theme in this thread today :heehee:
November 27, 20187 yr It probs won't happen but I hope Ava can land in the top 3, just so she has another week of a double digit jump! :D

November 27, 20187 yr I'm quite surprised Rita has slipped to #8, I always in my mind had this down as a #6 album.
November 27, 20187 yr God Dammit Zara, this is totally going to peak at #11 :( Could Rita potentially miss the top 10?
November 27, 20187 yr A few random re-entries there, I thought the guetta and sigala tracks were done & dusted. Definitely here for hearing Mariah in the charts pre-december!
November 27, 20187 yr A few random re-entries there, I thought the guetta and sigala tracks were done & dusted. Slow week leads to natural fluctuation, both are actually declining in sales again this week so it's not really a boost of any sort.
November 27, 20187 yr Yes, I always seem to overlook the fact that songs don't just fall off a cliff upon exiting the top 40 for the first time so are prone to a random rise now & then.
November 27, 20187 yr 4.5K yesterday for TT also thought Rita was 100% sure to go at #6 :D also funny to see 2 Jess Glynne tracks fighting in the top 3 against each other (Woman like me vs Thursday)
November 27, 20187 yr Joseph, do you think Zara can sneak into the TOP 10 this week ? I'm enjoying that Ava song now. :P wow @ Rita, i thought she would go to #6 too.
November 27, 20187 yr Joseph, do you think Zara can sneak into the TOP 10 this week ? Quite unlikely! Rita's projected to finish at #10, definitely no lower and probably not any higher either, but she's more likely to finish higher than lower. A lower position than I had expected but it's a busy schedule at this time of year. Expecting it to repeak in the new year!
November 27, 20187 yr Rita continuing to disappoint. Already has 5 singles off the album and a current hit doing well and is a well known name and face, I don't know why more people aren't buying the album as Christmas gifts or streaming it.
