Lost Without You passes over aplenty when listening to the album.

It has yet to stir anything within me when I hear the song.

I should be clear, there is no big dislike of the song, it is a competitive album for good songs.

That said, if Lost Without You had appeared on Kiss Me Once, I would classify it as an album highlight.

This amazes me!

It was THE highlight of the tour. The vocal was epic, the feeling was euphoric and those lasers.

Plus the emotion in the song... I really think she wrote it about feeling unhappy towards the end of her relationship with Joshua. If you listen to the song, you can almost feel her desperation to escape from him and find the light on the other side. It reveals a rarely seen really vulnerable side of her.

I imagine so too. I assume this was from one of the earlier sessions of the album, hence the lack of country-tinge, which Kylie admits being a period of just letting all her emotion out in her songwriting. She must have known she had something special with this one, knowing she discarded pretty much everything but this.

In some ways the album has 3 sounds, pop, country and ballads but they mix well. Dancing, stop me from falling and a lifetime to repair are uplifting pop, lost without you and music's too sad with you cover the ballads, the others have a bit of pop and country together will less of a hint of pop.
I will also say though, even if you don't appreciate the song or get it - for any Kylie fan to say 'Lost Without You' instills nothing in them is to me quite astonishing, considering how much of herself she bares in that song with such raw intensity.

Flower instills much more emotion when I listen to the song.

Lost Without You as I have reiterated is not a bad song.

Golden houses stronger songs that I rate above it.

Preach

This album to me is one of her best and I still listen to it now, I would say there are only 1 or 2 ok songs but I still listen to them, the rest I love, this album for me is Top 3 for me

Two years on from release, Golden is remaining highly popular with fans.

It is welcoming that it wasn't just popular as it was new, its popularity was quality based.

Its def an album that i still enjoy a good few of the songs, I think an album needs nearly a year before you can decide where it really ranks among other albums. Sometimes albums can be instant and then after a while get tiresome and other albums like impossible princess take time to get into it. Golden is lucky that it has a few songs that I think fans will always rate highly.

I think ‘Golden’ will always be looked back on as a good era for Kylie after the dire end to her Parlophone years.

‘Golden’ returned her to chart glory and led the way to Glastonbury etc.,

Golden had some instantly likeable songs that remain great.

It also housed songs that required time to embrace which provides the album with a good balance.

Golden is also surrounded by so many glorious Kylie moments which places the album very positively with fans

While golden isnt my fave album or in my top 5 but i like it alot but it was a great campaign by kylie and so much happened throughout the campaign that will always make it memorable. It was a really exciting and I enjoyed it all. The x factor performance of a lifetime to repair is the only thing that really disappointed me

Golden brought a resurgence for Kylie.

The era was uplifting and showcased an energized Kylie who was enjoying a new found popularity that was absent for a while.

Amazon have reduced the ‘Golden’ CD to £2.49 - as it’s being sold by Amazon rather than a 3rd party seller it also comes with an MP3 version, hopefully it will encourage some extra sales
If step back in time was on that deal for a week it would be back in tge charts,,still it might help golden shift another few copies.
