Wouldn't it be better for the OCC to count streams Thurs-Wed and downloads Fri-Thurs?

 

I really don't agree with their way of making up the Thurs streams. :(

the occ should put pressure on Spotify to deliver the real data faster, come on it's 2018, it should be done in 5 nanoseconds

It'd make more sense for them to just wait until Saturday (or whenever they get the accurate data for Thursday streams) to publish the charts but they seem to want to have a chart posted on Friday so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Mariah has a total of 4,991,302 streams on Spotify from 21-25 December inclusive; Ava Max meanwhile has a cumulative figure of 1,823,273 over the same period. By my reckoning that equates to Mariah having 63% more streams over that timeframe.. Will that be enough to overcome ACR and bag the #1 despite the inevitable downfall in streams over the additional 2 days?

I'm still not sure why Friday at 4 or whenever it is is the chosen time. Saturday afternoon would seem much more sensible all round.

Im hoping it is, as i said in a previous post if Christmas day was on wed or thurs this year all i want for christmas is you would finally be a number 1 for sure. Fingers crossed it gets there even though it will fall out of the top 100 after,
