They do!

That's strange then. I checked out the daily spotify charts, as an indicator of streaming, and Ariana was ahead of Ava all week. I know the difference was about 4k between Mariah and Ariana on the Thursday midweek, with another 4.3k between Ariana and Ava, and Ava demonstrably didn't make up the 8.3k or more via streaming, so I assume Ava must have had an uplift on itunes on Thursday then.

Finally a fantastic Drake track - such a short top 40 run for some reason?! Thankfully got to no1 though!
Good to see this here, David's best effort this year by some way (no doubt thanks to Sia's involvement)

It’s easily "Drive" with Black Coffee and Delilah Montagu.

The only Drake song I actually like. 'Nice For What' is actually nice for greatness!

Biography

Edward Christopher Sheeran, MBE (/ˈʃɪərən/; born 17 February 1991) is an English singer, songwriter, guitarist, record producer, and actor. Sheeran was born in Halifax, West Yorkshire, and raised in Framlingham, Suffolk. He attended the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford as an undergraduate from the age of 18 in 2009. In early 2011, Sheeran independently released the extended play, No. 5 Collaborations Project.

After signing with Asylum Records, his debut album, + (pronounced "plus"), was released in September 2011. It topped the UK and Australian charts, reached number five in the US, and has since been certified seven-times platinum in the UK. The album contains the single "The A Team", which earned him the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically. In 2012, Sheeran won the Brit Awards for Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act. "The A Team" was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2013 Grammy Awards, where he performed the song with Elton John.

His second studio album, x (pronounced "multiply"), was released in June 2014. It peaked at number one in the UK and the US. In 2015, x won the Brit Award for Album of the Year, and he received the Ivor Novello Award for Songwriter of the Year from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors. His single from x, "Thinking Out Loud", earned him two Grammy Awards at the 2016 ceremony: Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance. In May 2016, x was named the second-best-selling album worldwide of 2015.

Sheeran's third album, ÷ (pronounced "divide"), was released in March 2017. The album debuted at number one in the UK, the US and other major markets. The first two singles from the album, "Shape of You" and "Castle on the Hill", were released in January 2017 and broke records in a number of countries, including the UK, Australia and Germany, by debuting in the top two positions of the charts. He also became the first artist to have two songs debut in the US top 10 in the same week. By March 2017, Sheeran had accumulated ten top 10 singles from ÷ on the UK Singles Chart, breaking the record for most top 10 UK singles from one album. His fourth single from ÷, "Perfect", reached number one in the US, Australia and the UK, where it became the Christmas number one in 2017. In April 2018, ÷ was named the best-selling album worldwide of 2017.

Sheeran has sold more than 38 million albums and 100 million singles worldwide, making him one of the world's best-selling music artists. Two of his albums are in the list of the best-selling albums in UK chart history: x at number 20, and ÷ at number 34. As an actor, Sheeran has portrayed recurring roles on The bast*rd Executioner and Home and Away. - Wikipedia

ERRYBODY GET YOUR MOTHAFUCKIN ROLL ON *.*

was really cool seeing this get to #1 considering it isn't very poppy

Finally a fantastic Drake track - such a short top 40 run for some reason?! Thankfully got to no1 though!

Three track rule! Got kicked out in his album release week (in favour of Don't Matter To Me, Nonstop and Emotionless)

Nice For What’s chart run looks so odd due to the 3 track limit

Is this why it looks like a chart run for a no1 from 2000 or 2014??

Ed Sheeran has way too many ‘millionnaires’

I suppose it was the three tracks per album rule (aka Ed Sheeran rule).

I acc stanned Perfect before it got overplayed 24/7 everyone. Now I've not finally heard it for a couple of months it's sounding pretty good <3
honestly same. The hammering of the Beyoncé remix kinda solidified this.
So f*cking what? The bitterness is still there.

That feels unnecessary.

I'm just pointing out that last week was just bitterness at a song they liked missing out when it would never have been there anyway. This week the song at #2 definitely lost out because of ACR/SCR (whichever it is, I'm not fussed enough to know!) and also potentially because of made up data which does mean it's more open to interpretation than last week.

Anyway I'll leave it at that.

God, the drop on 'Rise' sounds SO tinny. Plus the use of the word "savage" makes me cringe hard.

So much this! Dire dire dire.

Ah I see thanks!

Okay last thing I will say about this week’s #1

At least Sweet But Psycho will end up doing a Love Yourself rather than The Climb. I just hope it’s worth it in next year’s EOY.
