December 28, 20187 yr Doubt it. It's atrocious and not even an Cmas song. Damn it!! Ava Max needs to f*** ogf with her Poker Face covee. This was Mariah's week!! LadBaby were right when they said thr song was shite. On the plus side Michael, Leona charted at #8 with One More Sleep this week. :cheer:
December 28, 20187 yr Ooh yay one of my favourite chart hits is the top seller *. It sounded so amazing in the summer, not quite the same impact when it's dark and cold outside but still a song I'll remember the year for. I never got the appeal of God's Plan at all, both of his other number 1s this year had so much more to them. Oh no at Mariah missing out, that would've been quite the moment, still pretty sure she'll manage it next year with Christmas even later in the week (and then it's on a Friday in 2020!) no matter what arbitrary rule the OCC are bribed into doing by annoyed record execs ;-)
December 28, 20187 yr omg guys can we also talk about how in this week's weekly chart, QUEEN IDINA has scored her third top 40 hit!!!!!!! :cheer: :cheer: 5 years after Let It Go charted as well *.* We love a relevant queen :heart:Baby It’s Cold Outside made top 40 despite the backlash?
December 28, 20187 yr Shallow is super low despite being #1, as is Thank U Next, but that's what's inevitable for October-November releases these days Yes they should be top 50 next year too!
December 28, 20187 yr Also great effort Joseph on posting 140 songs worth of positions in such speedy fashion (and with moderation on the side I imagine)! I couldn't bear the constant need to be alert for 4 straight hours :P Edited December 28, 20187 yr by Dircadirca
December 28, 20187 yr Thanks Joseph for all your work running this. Thanks, too, to Martin and Sam for the recaps and to everybody who took part.
December 28, 20187 yr Indeed Joseph great work today and during the rest of the year too, happy Christmas/New Year!!
December 28, 20187 yr Baby It’s Cold Outside made top 40 despite the backlash?update: adkdkdkakdkak it actually did *.* - Thanks so much Joseph for taking on this monumental task!

He who pays the piper calls the tune.
December 28, 20187 yr SO glad Calvin/Dua beat Drake to top the year. "God's Plan" sounded as blah as ever on that listen and is still the most baffling long-running number 1 of the century for me. Just do. Not. Get. It. Wtf at Mariah missing out... it’s a shame.
December 28, 20187 yr On the plus side Michael, Leona charted at #8 with One More Sleep this week. :cheer:  YASSSS!!!!! :cheer: But Leona, at 8 on the midweeks, finishes at 8 with atrocious post Xmas and lowish Xmas day streams, but Mariah at 1 falls to 2 with mega streams?! I smell an OCC shenanigans!! DEAD at all the Xmas songs in the charts!! SOMEWHERE IN MY MEMORY (MAIN TITLE) The title song from Home Alone even made it!
December 28, 20187 yr Mariah misses out by 152 "sales" according to UK Chart Chat Facebook group. Recount needed. Edited December 28, 20187 yr by Crazy Christmas
December 28, 20187 yr You're all welcome guys. Thanks so much for taking part, I was afraid I'd be talking to myself all day lol...! The top 40 are now available in full on pages 1-3 of this thread for you guys to peruse at your pleasure x My own thoughts: I'm pleased One Kiss ended above God's Plan, although if Drake had to take it, I'd definitely have picked that over his other two #1s this year. I'm gutted Mariah missed the weekly #1, especially as Ava will be comfortably at #1 next week anyway, but I really do love Sweet But Psycho so I won't begrudge Ava. Pleased Leona's in the top 10, Santa Tell Me has a new peak, Katy's in the top 40 and Mistletoe returns to the top 40 for the first time since its year of release!!
December 28, 20187 yr 152 sales, yeah that was manipulated lol. I'm mostly gutted about Feliz Navidid NOT actually making the top 75 (but it does at least beat its previous peak by 1 position!)

December 28, 20187 yr SOMEWHERE IN MY MEMORY (MAIN TITLE) The title song from Home Alone even made it! Omg  This played this morning after Mum asked Alexa to play Christmas songs! We were like 'wtf is this' and I Shazamed it and it's just some random backing music from the Home Alone movie  This just shows how ridiculous the charts are, what are they even reflecting!
December 28, 20187 yr Yes thanks for hosting this Joseph, and for everyone who's contributed to this thread!
December 28, 20187 yr Yes thanks for hosting this Joseph, and for everyone who's contributed to this thread! This too; was out for the afternoon but been following along slowly and eventually caught up by the time "Shotgun" was playing! As always thanks Joseph for your rundowns.
