December 28, 20187 yr :cheer: coming for that top 20 next year!! And then a future classic!! Glad Katy Perry got a decent sized top 30 hit in the end, hopefully it'll be released on all platforms next year. Glad that once streams from other platforms were added British classics like Wizzard and Slade fared much better!! I really want Amazon’s One More Sleep version to be released on all platforms, it’s a travesty that it’s still Amazon exclusive
December 28, 20187 yr Oh yay! Amazing to see One Kiss and Sweet But Psycho both No.1, didn’t expect either of those results! God’s Plan would have been a seriously underwhelming EOY chart topper.
December 28, 20187 yr But that's my point. I'm almost certain your mum has no idea Katy Perry has a new Christmas single or wanted to hear it when she asked Alexa to play Christmas music. It has been forced into the charts and for people to listen to it incidentally. It's no different to any other song put on playlists though, throughout the year. The orchestral backing music during a scene Home Alone for crying out loud!
December 28, 20187 yr Are you ready for a big surprise ? https://www.officialcharts.com/charts/singles-sales-chart/ Look at # 1. Edited December 28, 20187 yr by Good Old Days
December 28, 20187 yr What’s quite worrying is people are asking Alexa to choose their music for them and it still count towards the chart. The lazy, uninterested people can have quite an effect.
December 28, 20187 yr No more of the Christmas songs in the chart it is a bloody joke, the amount that are in this week, imagine if it had been on SCR.
December 28, 20187 yr No more of the Christmas songs in the chart it is a bloody joke, the amount that are in this week, imagine if it had been on SCR. Why is it a joke when it's what people have been listening to, though?
December 28, 20187 yr Are you ready for a big surprise ? https://www.officialcharts.com/charts/singles-sales-chart/ Look at # 1. Tbf it was number 1 on iTunes until Christmas Day so that isn’t really a surprise
December 28, 20187 yr Lots of re-entries next week  only 13 tracks from last week's top 40 chart appears in today's Top 40 singles chart
December 28, 20187 yr And 1 is a random glee Christmas cover glee still slaying 2 years after ending :cheer: :funky: :funky:
December 28, 20187 yr Why is it a joke when it's what people have been listening to, though? All right it is what people have been listening to but with certain Spotify playlists playing a major factor in the charts.
December 28, 20187 yr Is 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' the first song to peak at number 2 on three separate chart runs? I think there are three songs to do it twice: Honey by Bobby Goldsboro - 1968,1975 Crazy For You by Madonna - 1985,1991 Last Christmas by Wham - 1984,2017 Are there any more I missed?
December 28, 20187 yr Thank goodness for that, glad Ava got the #1 as it is a good debut pop hit, and it would have been depressing to have Mariah at #1 AFTER Christmas I think. Also, random fact time and....I have just noticed there have been no dance songs in the top 40 for the past two weeks, which must be the first time that has happened since this chart https://www.officialcharts.com/charts/singl.../20031207/7501/ in December 2003 (highest placed dance track is Angel City at #43)! AIWFC would never be a depressing no.1 in any week. Stop trying protecting your bizarre opinions on everyone else.
December 28, 20187 yr Mariah Carey misses out and next year I have a feeling Wham could beat her to the top spot with the Last Christmas movie coming out

December 28, 20187 yr everyone’ll talk about Mariah and Wham! next year but Leona will sweep in with that shocker number one
December 28, 20187 yr 53% of this week's Top 100 is made up of songs which will inevitably vanish into thin air in a week's time.
