23rd January would have been his birthday also so that was definitely the intention. I imagine it was still out for close on a full day anyway though.

Will be interesting to see how Vampire Weekend's new song does on streaming. Songs like A-Punk would have been bigger hits had they been released in the streaming era rather than the download era (due to its short length), and I think they will pick up a lot more love on Spotify & the like than the average indie band, given their profile.

He's continually haunting us from beyond the grave. Make it stop.

They'll only stop releasing XXX singles when they've literally run out of material I think. Although I think this new one is only because it would've been his birthday yesterday so I don't think they're doing another album campaign so soon after 'SKINS'.

That must be the big fanbase effect for J. Cole, I can't see it having any more longevity than his album tracks did it's not exactly a proper commercial hit.
