Columbia Records have confirmed that a joint collab between The Weeknd and Gesaffelstein is to be released. The Weeknd has been teasing it on his social media today.

Hopefully this will be better than their two collabs off the last EP because those were poor.
The previous collaborations between the two were more tame than I hoped for but I'll remain cautiously optimistic, as Gesaffelstein's newie 'Reset' is fabulous
Oooh seems like a Gesaffelstein lead this time which brings me hope that his sound may be more prominent here  hyped regardless tbh
The track, which is called "Lost In The Fire" (I assume Columbia made a mistake with the hashtag in this tweet), has been serviced to US radio. There are two versions (clean and ultra clean) of the song and the length of both is 3:22 min. Also, it's labeled as 'Gesaffelstein x The Weeknd'.

So lifeless and monotonous. Ugh.

I don't hear a lot of Gesaffelstein too.

It's like Starboy part 3 (with "Pray For Me" being part 2).
It probably should've been a 'The Weeknd' produced by Gefalafelstein credit considering how the song sounds. Very sexual so idk how this will do with radio play and gaining popularity but it's a decent track - not really standing out compared to some of this week's other releases.
Just boring to be honest. Lyrically quite vacant but the production is the real let down, it could be anything.

it's The Weekend on autopilot

hope he can evolve his sound a bit and do better stuff

Sonically this is lush (very 'Starboy' as pointed out) but I feel like trash for enjoying it because the lyrics are such tosh lol. I wish they could've been... anything else as they're preventing this from being a proper fave

Tbh this. I would have taken a featured rapper for the second verse than that. Couldn’t they just hit someone up for a remix, or would that end up being more like Pray For Me?

Questionable lyrics unfortunately push me more towards The Weeknd NOT being self-aware which is how I interpreted a lot of his past lyrics.

Shame as it's a lush production. I'll still play it prob mind it's not that annoying. Chorus is nice. Not as cringey as Zayn talking about our sex having meaning :o
