January 14, 20197 yr I wonder if Westlife would be higher if they released the song on Friday instead of Thursday.. The 2k-3k of sales they ‘lost’ by releasing earlier (say compared to the most recent day of sales) could’ve seen them at #2 right now. Still would’ve been an ask for them to manage the top 10 this week I’d think. We will see.
January 14, 20197 yr they're virtually tied on streams and downloads but how do you know how they're doing on YT? none is top 20 according to kworb you can go to youtube insights and see the numbers for each artist in each country.... even those outside the top 20 https://charts.youtube.com/
January 14, 20197 yr Why is no one taking advantage of the dead release schedule and dropping an album right now? Not a single new entry in the top 40 this week  An exciting battle between The Delines (whatever that is) and the Doctor Who soundtrack for highest new entry. Lol.
January 14, 20197 yr Getting bored of an album released in 2017 hogging the top spot in the album chart. Hope Rudimental can topple TGS from #1

Not a single new entry in the top 40 this week  An exciting battle between The Delines (whatever that is) and the Doctor Who soundtrack for highest new entry. Lol. Couple of albums this week that could make the chart: Future, James Blake, Maggie Rogers, Mike Posner, Alice Merton and Papa Roach. Then the next week there's Bring Me the Horizon, Backstreet Boys, Rudimental, Fidlar and Rat Boy. Edited January 14, 20197 yr by WhoOdyssey
January 14, 20197 yr Getting bored of an album released in 2017 hogging the top spot in the album chart. Hope Rudimental can topple TGS from #1 Rudimental probably won't be anywhere near #1, Bring Me the Horizon should take the top spot next week. Edited January 14, 20197 yr by WhoOdyssey

January 14, 20197 yr Are you forgetting this week exists? James Blake etc. is next week and BMTH is 2 weeks from now. There are zero new entries THIS week. x

January 14, 20197 yr hope James Blake does well, probably he will only be low top 10 lol if someone thinks Rudimental will be #1, I think they have more chances of missing the top 40 than being #1
January 14, 20197 yr it would be the perfect timing for Rihanna to make an out of the blue comeback or Madonna or Beyonce

January 14, 20197 yr I think that by releasing on a Thu, they gained more visibility, if released on Fri, their comeback would have been diluted among the other big releases (Calvin, Sam) but no one was releasing on Thu, so they got the spotlight all for themselves, it's also the easiest day to reach #1 on iTunes cos sales are the lowest
January 14, 20197 yr I'm hoping James Blake will be able to get a new highest charting album, he probably won't need to beat the opening sales of his last album by much to manage that (and bearing in mind that last album was a surprise release while this one has at least a bit of build-up and a single). Rudimental do have 2 #1 albums to their name already so I'd expect this new one will come at least moderately close to #1 regardless of the singles (minus 'These Days') making so little impact. They won't beat BMTH though.
January 14, 20197 yr I think Westlife going away for 7 years was what was needed. It was all getting a bit tired. Now that there's so much rubbish clogging the charts I'm super excited they've made the top 10 in the update. And it's a great song even if it is written by Ed Sheeran.
January 14, 20197 yr do we have any numbers for places 6-9? Yes, they are: 6 7 8 and 9. No surprises there, really.
