Er, of course they are. What a ridiculous question. Westlife are easily in the top 10 best pop groups of all time, and they always will be. It's not feasibly possible to surpass their quality and success anymore, One Direction is pretty much the best a pop group can do nowadays, and they didn't even get to 25% of Westlife's success.

Westlife are up there with the best all-time pop groups along with The Beatles, Far East Movement, Pink Floyd, Metallica and the Military Wives Choir.

You never need to ask if Westlife are still top 65. The answer will ALWAYS be "yes". Whether they're top 5 is debatable, but they are definitely top 10.

I think it's meant as a piss take. Or at least I hope it is!

It's now 8 years since their excellent 'Like A G6' was in the top 10. I actually bought that, it still sounds like a great song!

I bought it the first day the heavy snows arrived in November 2010 (on the 25 November to be exact), as it's currently piling it down with snow outside here in the north east I thought I'd dig it out and listen to it again - it still sounds great!

The snow that winter lasted about the same length as their career which was about two or three months. I wonder whatever happened to them...

They had another single "Rocketeer" with Ryan Tedder, and of course their number 1 with Bingo Players "Get Up (Rattle)" in 2013!

I'd forgotten about their number 1 in 2013! Though without seeking it out on YouTube I've also forgotten how it actually sounds...

Did that help? 🦆💨

They must have got dropped from Interscope due to poor album sales for 'Dirty Bass' (2012). They did eventually release a follow-up to it in 2016 ('Identity') which was on Spinnin' and made no chart impact.

Funny enough their last hit single* 'Turn Up The Love' featured Cover Drive who themselves had very little shelf life afterwards - only one minor hit 'Explode' (#29) followed before they too got dropped following poor album sales.

I think they had a top 10 single with Justin Bieber as well (which was incredibly forgettable), and of course 'Tunn Up The Love' with Cover Drive which I still give regular plays.

Did that help?

It didn't, until I went to YouTube... One of the comments for the video said the poster was searching for the "duck" song!

Yup, I now remember the track, not too bad and it's almost 6 years since this was number 1...

As I was typing my message I had this weird feeling they did but I thought I was making it up in my head as I couldn’t recall how it went for the life of me! Don’t remember the Cover Drive one at all!

Turn up the love is known for the constant sound of an air horn/siren in the background.

I believe it was a top 15 hit in 2012.

Westlife will be lucky to make the top 10 then!

Long gone are days when their every release was a virtually guaranteed #1.

Hopefully!

Have Mark + Miley actually stretched their lead by 1,000 more then? :o

Glad to see Jax/Years comfortably top 10. :D

Fingers crossed Mark & Miley retain number 2 but disappointed this hasn’t been a chart topper. Who knows, it could still manage it maybe.
I bet HMG is currently at #10

Nah it’s a couple lower. That ear rape from Halsey is at number 10. 🤮

5 Jess Glynne - Always In Between (5.7k)
