My heart breaks every time I hear about the innocent lives that are lost in this region and the violence that is so often perpetuated to suit the political goals of people who benefit from this ancient conflict. I hope and pray that we will soon break free from this terrible cycle of destruction and create a new path towards peace." Sylvan Adams, who is paying the fee for the performance, confirms Madonna is performing. Madonna arrived in Israel last night.

It's of course one of her best songs and I adore it, but why does it have to be wheeled out at every given opportunity when she has a huge back catalogue right there!
May 15, 20196 yr I greatly welcome Like a Prayer getting performed to such a huge audience. i refer to it as her greatest song. That said, i partially feel Hung Up may have got the arena up on its feet and possibly receive a greater sales boost.

I hope 'Like a Prayer' feels a bit more joyous than it has done in recent times rather than sounding 'darker' or stripped back. Really bugs me that people are so quick to attack Madonna because they know her name will sell (what are Primal Scream up to these days?) and that the vast amounts of humanitarian work just gets ignored. The last time Madonna performed at Tel Aviv she addressed the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and fought for peace, I'm sure she'll be using Eurovision as a platform to do much the same.

May 19, 20196 yr The pre performance interview with Quavo was A Gift tho So bad. Ik the stereotype of Americans not getting eurovision but that was up to 11.
