Rudimental won't be going anywhere Near number one

They may even miss top 10

That's pretty crazy how much their stock has fallen after their first 2 albums went #1, especially considering they kicked off with 2 top 10s this era!

Just listened to the Mike Posner album, it's got some really decent tracks on it. Can't believe it wasn't even Top 100 in the first set of mids!

That’s HMV’s fault. Because I don’t see any supermarkets stocking the album. The first place people search for a CD album is HMV and they haven’t stocked any of this years new releases

well there goes me thinking Sweet But Psycho will end up being as strong of a #1 as the likes of Love Yourself

Rudimental will flop hard, even if it was stocked in HMV and the like I doubt it would've gone to #1. Besides Sun Comes Up and These Days they've done pretty badly this era.

In fact, was These Days even a 'proper' #1? IIRC it only made that one week as Drake went on ACR.

Not really HMV's fault. :/ and the amount of people we've had come in and say "I didn't realise you guys were still going" is a lot higher than you'd probs expect.

But anyway, the suppliers have managed to send out BMTH and Backstreet Boys albums to the Nottingham branch, so I assume elsewhere too. But like someone else said, even if HMV fully stocked everything, Rudimental still wouldn't be challenging.

What happened to it being doomed to only have one week at #1 on the week no one cares about? x

I think in the 90s radio were more open minded with who they played, and put more songs on their playlist.

Which is probably why it was easier for someone like Cher to make the mammoth comeback she did with 'Believe', you probably wouldn't get something like that today.

Something def changed in terms of radio in the early 90s around 1991/92 when totp changed and radio 1 culled a lot of the djs that were there from the 1970s - then they dropped some classic older bands like status quo from their playlists!

Decent top 5 single sales btw!

It's a fantastic album! I listened to How It's Supposed To Be out of curiosity since it was on NMF and I hadn't heard of him since the string of SeeB/Jordan XL/Grey remixes from his last album and I was instantly hooked! The entire album is really great (and #1 on my personal chart rn) but I highly recommend How It's Supposed To Be, Song About You, and Move On if anyones interested. The album mostly comes from the death of his father in 2017 and then the death of Avicii the year later

that was the week I thought Mariah would be #1
