Only #6 today for James Blake is pretty disappointing, I thought he'd be top 5 in the midweeks fairly easily even if he slipped out by the end of the week, the chances of this being his highest peaking album now looking fairly slim :( hope he can still manage to overtake some of the other new entries ahead of him since he does have significantly better streaming numbers anyway.

'Giant' so close to overtaking 'Dancing With A Stranger' already! (I'd actually prefer Sam to stay having the bigger hit shockingly enough but I don't think he will now).

Have they stopped stocking chart albums then?

I don't know what's their latest situation, I ain't been near one, its too far away to visit.

Still keeping my fingers crossed it will get saved.

Currently on track for #7 assuming his sales hold up. Thunder and dodie are pretty certain to fall below him.

Westlife down to #30 then. I'm not sure they will remain top 40 by Friday.
Gun Lean top 10!

And options just outside, absolutely loving them both atm

They're both brilliant. UK rap off to a great start this year. 'Gun Lean' should be able to remain at #10 (hopefully) and then 'Options' should go top 10 next week.

Actually you are probably spot on, as I can see George Ezra, Queen, Lady Gaga and Jess Glynne inside the top 5 by the end of the week, dodie could just scrape the top 10, but that is still debatable.

They’ve stopped stocking new dvds too. I ended up getting the dvds from Sainsbury’s instead and as for albums, I’ll have to get them from amazon or iTunes

I agree, I think 'Options' is my favourite of the UK rap hits that have broken through in the last couple of years and 'Gun Lean' isn't too far off it! Hope 'Gun Lean' can hang on indeed to be the first (serious) UK drill top 10 hit *.* (although I'll be sticking to listening to the original, this remix is a bit of a step down for me).

Oh, I thought dodie would have been likely to stay ahead, I was thinking it might overtake the other two - are The Twilight Sad's sales actually holding up better? I have no idea who they are. x

Fingers crossed anyway ~

dodie is only doing slightly better than Thunder. Never heard of Twilight Sad either tbh but somehow they sold the most copies yesterday out of all the new entries this week!

Of course with sales as low as they are, anything could change by Friday, but I do think it's likely James will achieve his highest peaking album.

"Homerton B" and "No Words" say hi :nono:

Ariana Grande is my least favourite current popular female singer.

Sadly her streaming numbers don't give any # 1 chances for others.

I thought you loved white people

You know the first new release I listened to from Friday's releases was Alice Merton's album, I'm surprised it's not in the top 40 mids
Could be over HMV though, going into administration, hence the album sales are quite low.

Sales have been low last few years barring a couple huge ones i doubt its down to hmv

Freya queen of being on SCR for at least 30 uninterrupted weeks tho. When will your non-Portugal. The Man faves?

But did she come back from the dead? *.*
