Come on The Specials!! Never saw that coming especially after Busted outsold them over the weekend. I would love them to hold onto their lead as they were literally one of my very favourite bands in my teens. It would need word to get round and more fans to buy on Thursday because TGS is on track still for No 1 going by past weeks.

Surprised how well Freya is holding up on iTunes after her TGD performance

Is Happier back on SCR given its 30 place climb?

There's plenty of new entries but sales of them are terrible.

Yeh true but hopefully adds to total album sales for the week!

I wasn't overly impressed with the price reduction (to £4.99) for The Specials CD given I had paid £9.99 earlier in the week. I was almost considering returning the CD to Amazon and getting a full refund but instead I contacted them and mentioned I would have to consider whether I continued to buy New Releases from them in future. Anyway the consequence is they have given me a £5 goodwill refund this morning - just mentioning in case there are others on this thread who also paid £9.99 earlier in the week (or for The Busted CD for that matter).

They only reduced because Busted did. I must admit I thought the same, it's not very fair on fans that pre-ordered or bought earlier in the week!

^^ Agree with the above, it’s frustrating but seems to happen all the time now with record companies discounting midweek to try and hold onto a #1, Top 10 etc., placing - the genuine fans that buy on day of release get screwed whilst the casual buyer benefits.

It is very unfair for customers to purchase a cd at full price at the start of the week and a few short days later for it to be half price.

I understand this happens months after a release but not on release week.

Why don't fans just stream at the beginning of the week and then purchase the physical later in the week?

They would never have been in contention then would they.

As always with music and most artists it is always about milking/ripping off fans as much as possible.

I think The Specials could have that tomorrow then! Great to see Camelphat sticking in the Top 40! So happy to have another dance song back in the charts

The Specials are starting to look like the likely Number 1.

I would prefer to see Busted make it.

Aww I thought Busted would have closed the gap yesterday as they seemed to sell loads on Amazon and Itunes when the reduction was made.

Even if it ends up at 3 it's a massive acheivement.

I can't but think they have actually sold thousands more as people are buying 5/6 at a time and doesn't it only count as one chart sale if you buy multi copies at the same time? :arrr:

Bit gutted about Busted as it really is a good album.
