Posted February 18, 20196 yr The Rak-Su lads have confirmed the name of their second EP, which is out this coming Friday and will be their first since they switched from SyCo to RCA in the autumn. One of the tracks is a medley and they've premiered the video for it on their Instagram TV: https://t.co/pw36e0EZA3 Pleasing to hear something stripped back from them, they sound good!
February 18, 20196 yr I Want You to Freak was a slight step up from Pyro Ting, not sure how this will turn out.
February 18, 20196 yr I take it this is just an EP of throwaways then or are they going to try and push another single? Can't see them having another hit either way.
February 18, 20196 yr Author I take it this is just an EP of throwaways then or are they going to try and push another single? Can't see them having another hit either way. I think from how they've been talking the majority of it is new stuff. I'd imagine given they've got the Olly Murs tour coming up in May that they'll probably have another single ready to go by then.
February 22, 20196 yr Author Really good actually! 'Into It' has got a bit of an early 90s feel to it - bit Soul II Soul-y almost.
February 22, 20196 yr Just listened to the New EP was actually really good ! They should push ‘Thunder’ or ‘Into It’ as singles as they sound like hits imo . Edited February 22, 20196 yr by troylovesmusic
February 22, 20196 yr God, these guys are amazing. I love everything they've done except Pyro Ting. Jamal really carries them, though. (also shouldn't this be in the Pop forum? Just because they're a mixed race group doesn't make them urban - they're a straight up pop boy band!)
February 25, 20196 yr Author 'Into It' is quite deservedly the lead single from the EP - they've just premiered the video this evening. IVq0Mb8E9tE I do love the dancing in this video - very Fresh Prince-esque! :D

February 25, 20196 yr This is actually really good! A bit trend-chasing but still not as dated and much better than their previous output!
February 25, 20196 yr This could grow but nothing they've done post X-Factor has been that good, still waiting for them to release Palm Tree officially ;)
February 25, 20196 yr Just heard 'Into It' and it's actually a BANGER. I'm so shocked at how much I love it. Ths throwback 90's vibe of it may feel like 'Finesse' part 2, but it's so slick and smooth. Hit please!
March 1, 20196 yr It's not been playlisted on Radio 1 or Capital and it's not on any Spotify playlists... Too early to worry?
March 1, 20196 yr Jamaal! This is more Finesse Part II than Please Me. Hopefully the Spotify promo and airplay will be there.
March 1, 20196 yr It's not been playlisted on Radio 1 or Capital and it's not on any Spotify playlists... Too early to worry? Nah, I'd say it's justified. R1 didn't bother to play the last single, and I can't imagine its relative underperformance will inspire them to playlist anything in the future. IWYTF did get amazing support from Capital, but I'm wondering if they'll suffer the same fate as Little Mix and be snubbed now that they've left Syco. I honestly can't see anything beyond a massive flop from this.
March 2, 20196 yr Why did they ever release "Pyro Ting" as a collaborative single with Banx & Ranx when they were (potentially) sitting on "Thunder"; probably could've been a decent hit. I hope these guys can get a second wave or something, because their music is still very relevant.
March 2, 20196 yr 'Into It' is genuinely pretty good and I'm absolutely sure that it could have given them a much bigger hit if it was pushed as their first proper single instead of 'I Want You To Freak' which is at the very best a heavily dated guilty pleasure. But it's unlikely to get anywhere now because they've been so mismanaged that they've probably missed their chance unless radio still somehow supports them. A real shame, so much wasted potential.
March 3, 20196 yr Into it is absolutely brilliant, such a banger. I love the video and the dancing which really suits the song
