13th. Human Nature = 7 votes

Welcome to Round 4 of Madonna's GHV2 survivor poll and the 3rd song to lose its place is the empowering and in your face 'Human Nature' which picked up 7 votes (more than double it had from the previous round) and therefore finishing in lucky 13th place as well as being the first of the 4 Bedtime Stories singles to leave. 8 songs in total received votes in the last round, with 'Deeper and Deeper' gaining the 2nd highest amount with 5, and title tracks 'Erotica' & 'Bedtime Story' both gaining 3 votes each. 'Secret', 'Beautiful Stranger' & 'Music' again gains a single vote each & finally 'Drowned World/Substitute For Love' gains a vote for the first time.

Human Nature - Released in June 1995 as the 4th and final single from her sixth studio album 'Bedtime Stories' and was written as an answer song to her critics, who had panned her provocative image of the previous two years and Madonna's release of sexually explicit works. The song is a R&B track where the sound of drums and the sample is heard looping throughout, with Madonna sarcastically asking rhetorical questions based on her real-life actions over the last two years. The song received mostly positive reviews from music critics who have later noted its anthemic and empowering nature. "Human Nature" became a moderate hit in the United States, peaking at number 46 on the Billboard Hot 100 and at number two on the Hot Dance Club Play chart. In the United Kingdom, the single entered the chart and peaked at number eight and it also charted within the top ten in Italy.

For years Madonna spoke in metaphors, fantasies and etc, but with this she struck back at her critics with a rather straight forward manner and of course lets not forget that stylish S&M music video with such fantastic tight choreography and slick production. Originally the label wanted 'Don't Stop' instead of this, as they felt it would have been a safer choice after the title track underperformed in the U.S., but Madonna stuck to her guns and released one of her most memorable and vibrant videos, and plus would 'DS' have had a video like this...NOPE.

Same rules apply just vote for your Least Fave from the remaining 12, and the one with the most will be gone by the next round which will be either next Tuesday or Wednesday.

Love Human Nature and sad to see it go

I love it too, although it probably wouldn't be long until I started voting for it. The sarcastic outbursts in the lyrics tied with the tongue-n-cheek video are so amusing. Madonna really hit the humour right with this one. It's a shame it's not more recognised as its message remains relevant today; obviously there was its usage in Drake-gate but I don't think people took much notice of the song itself.

The video is home to one of my favourite Madonna gifs:

Thinking about doing a song ranking for the next round, as there will be 11 songs left, or should I do it in round 6 instead when its down to the final 10.

What do you think guys...
