To be fair, a lot of girls listening to Dido growing up will be mothers now.

Same goes for Kylie and Madonna but they don’t get the same stigma.

If Dido is holding up well enough for top 10, it’s probably much more to do with her promotion and word of mouth rather than a lazy ‘it’s mothers day’.

So you think it is coincidence both have released albums just before Mother's day?

We all know bar fan purchases the only demographic who casually buy or want physical albums now are women in the 40-70 age range.

Sad to see Sophie already drop out of the top 10, I was fairly hopeful she may actually make it.

Lizzo's not gonna make the top 40 in the end is she?

I hate this week's chart already. :(

Whoa Sophie dropped down alot, guessing she is not getting that next top 10 album!

Yeah, she's barely selling. Not even 300 copies yesterday whereas everything above her is at least managing 1k.

To me mum music is stuff like Take That, Michael Buble, Olly Murs I wouldn’t put Dido or David in that category.

ASIB and Bohemian Rhapsody could benefit from Mothers Day but they’re still selling well as it is anyways.

Kylie and Madonna’s biggest fanbase will be the LGBT community I’d say.

Speaking as someone from that community myself they’re up there as icons.

Didos more of a musician where as the other two are more entertainer different fanbases altogether.

actually most people who buy Cds/ physicals are men, and vinyls are actually pretty popular with the 18-35 demographic...

Ava climbing there's still hope of top40 after all

She was 38 on Monday and unless its a typo 33 on tuesdays update, wso hopefully with her rising on Spotify and iTunes she can go top 40 this week, and possibly top 10 in the future. Personally it feels like her LAM to her AATB so although I think it will do well I don't see it going to number 1

Her what to her what?

I love how people use abbreviations for songs on this site and we're all supposed to know what they are
those abbreviations were too random lol :D
The song is rising on iTunes, Spotify and Apple Music in the UK, so there's hope

Sophie Ellis-Bextor, should stay Top 15 but i would have welcomed her staying Top 10.

Clean Bandit holding a steady chart run in the album chart and will reach Gold with ease.

Clean Bandit and Rita Ora both performing similarly with sales after both initial disappointing debuts.
