As he again failed to vote,it was up to me to prevent it from finishing with no points. It's a vintage classic that should have received more votes. I wonder how many people on here know the song. This is the first time I've seen the video. As they were always around to perform the song on TV,it was never shown here. It was number 1 for three weeks in 1974 but before they had a chance to release it in the US,a cover version by Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods shot to no.1 there. However,Paper Lace did manage an American no.1 with the follow up 'The Night Chicago Died'. They are still going after 52 years but as with many of the old groups,there are two versions touring with only one of them allowed to use the Paper Lace name.
